Ogden Jersey & Sports Talk

21 posts in this topic

I live in BALTIMORE. But i have YET to find any "OGDEN JERSEY'S" for sale at any SPORTS store.

This includes MODELLS, Sports Authority, Ds Sporting Goods, Finish Line, Down Town Locker Room, Shenk & Title at White Marsh mall for those who do not know what Shenk & Title is.

These are all sports clothing stores jerseys etc. Anyways after checking out ALL of those stores i found not a ONE

.

I know there is one really NICE sports store located at TOWSON TOWN MALL i think on the bottom floor near the doors across from radcliffe jewlers "quite" expensive when i went in there ages ago! for their jerseys.. but i guess i could try there?, does anyone know if they carry them in their?.

If they do not carry any then i have no idea where else to check other then EBAY or the INTERNET. But i need to get an OGDEN ASAP like i said before we ALL know his JERSEYS will go SKY HIGH IN COST considering he will be a HALL OF FAMER.

Now this is NON JERSEY stuff i am talking about below.

I wish that OGDEN would attend training camp this year just to sign. Last year at training camp i missed getting his signature by about 2 freaking people! and half of those people were OLD MEN like 50's and 60's i mean c`mon.. let the younger guys get theirs first!. I was so so PISSED OFF knowing he was most likely going to retire this year! and i came so close!.. but he at least i paid a chick only $5 bucks and she was nice enough to take my Authentic Ed Reed Black Jersey and hand it to Mr. Ed Reed which he then in return signed right on the stitched number on the back of the JERSEY :) thing will be worth some MONEY!!!! fo` shizzzlee.

Anyways though i have a FOOTBALL i got signed in `96 when i was 13 at training camp its real hard to read their SIGNATURES i can only make out Ray Lewis's and Bam Morris's but it was signed by almost the whole entire RAVENS team!!.

Unfortunately it wont blow up.. the bladder must be punctured some how and it is fading a bit because i have NO case for it! but i am hoping OGDENS autograph is on it! so my question is does anyone have a photo of his autograph they can post so i can take a look at my football and see if i can find his signature on it if he did indeed sign it!. If he didn't sign it i would LIKE to try and GET one!.

I would really appreciate that a lot!. Even if you can take a personal autograph and scan it for me that would be GREAT!.

**BTW:-DOES anyone want to sell me a football case for cheap!? that would be soo GREAT PLZZZ ;) . And also i am looking for a FRAME for my Ed Reed Autographed Jersey thats not real expensive.. can a RAVENS fan HOOK another RAVENS FAN UP!?**

Rich Eisen was talking about how he thinks Favre , Jr. Saeu, Jonathen Ogden, Strahan Orlando Pace etc. will all go in the first ballot together into the H.O.F.. It is messed up though & sad when he went over good players who just retired this year or w.e he did not once MENTION MR. McNair.. i am sick of this guy getting no recognition what so ever!.

I mean the guy took the Titans to a SB lost by 1 freaking yard to the Rams.. played great during his career and people act like he never existed! it's just sad.. he should def go in with those guys into the H.O.F!. If it does happen it will be ONE HELL OF an awesome CLASS!!.

I can almost guarantee anyone they will ALL go in together (except McNair but maybe who knows =/) I just cant wait for the "FIRST RAVEN TO HIT THE HALL OF FAME!! BABBBY"

Sheesh i mean J.O had freaking 11 STRAIGHT PRO-BOWLS! :o i didn't even know he had 11 till this morning thanks to Rich Eisen i knew it was up there about 8 or 9 but 11!? damn!.

Just think if he wasn't hurt last year it would have been his WHOLE 12 YEARS INTO THE PRO-BOWL. 11 STRAIGHT PRO-BOWLS OUT OF A 12 YEAR CAREER, a SB RING and a SOON TO BE H.O.F what more can a PLAYER ask for!?.

RARE for a LEFT TACKLE TO GO INTO THE H.O.F!!.

Next will BE RAY RAY!! our players once RETIRED WILL start going in the H.O.F left and right! it will be NUTS!.

I guarantee SUGGS, LEWIS, OGDEN, HEAP, Reed, STOVER, McGahee-maybe there is no doubt in my MIND will be inducted! anyone disagree on that?. I know for sure these players i name that have been a RAVEN SINCE day 1 again McGahee-maybe will get in can you disagree?.

Jonathen Ogden, Ray Lewis, Matt Stover, Todd Heap, Ed Reed, Terrel Suggs, Jamal Lewis :D:D will go in as a RAVEN of course!. J-LEW has spent WAY more time here IN BALTIMORE then CLEVELAND obviously unless he plays long enough to beat out all the time he has spent in BALTIMORE as a RAVEN and i doubt that will happen.

I think J-LEW has about 2 years left in him.. he will go down as a RAVEN INDUCTEE fo shizzle.. anyone agree on that?. And most likely a top 10 bruising BEAST of A RB that they show on the NFL channel sometimes.

Thoughts!? :P

Could we try to pick one topic and stick with it for the thread? Otherwise, this is likely to get very convoluted and confusing.

Let's just discuss the Ogden Jersey issue here and try discussing the other subjects in some other threads.

Thanks.

Did it ever occur to you to try the "official" site for a jersey. Look here: BaltimoreRavensStore

I think Jamal Lewis, Willis McGahee, Todd Heap, and Terrell Suggs being "guaranteed" to go to the HOF this early is ridiculous.

None of them at this time even seem like HoF material IMO.

Anywho, I don't know about the Replica, or Premium jerseys, but I do know they do not make an Authentic (The $280 jerseys) with 75/Ogden on it. I had my Authentic jersey custom made when I went to the Super Bowl signing to have him sign it.

nothing in Towson , I was there 2 weeks ago. I bought a stitched Ogden from the Ravens Roost table in lot G or H ( idk there right next to each other ) at a game last season, My guess is they will have the rest of their "inventory" on sale at either training camp or the pre season.....there is an overpriced Ravens store in Owings Mills - near a Super Giant you may want to take out a loan and try them...LOL

Why?

Because he was one of the best running backs of his era. Take away L.T. and what other running back can you say was world's better then Jamal in his prime? He has a superbowl ring, he has the only 2000 yard season since the 70's, and if he plays long enough he will have the numbers. And they his numbers look even better when you consider he missed his entire second season with injury. And if it wasnt for the media's love affair with Peyton Manning, he would have been MVP instead of just offensive player of the year. Like I said it might take him a while but eventually, I think he gets in.

Thanks for the replies. I will try that site Birdman Thanks. Surprising to me though a future H.O.F never had a JERSEY released.. I guess being a lineman you get no credit or recognition.

BTW yeah it will be a LONG TIME from NOW.

But this is just my opinion you either like it or you don't. But i think Heap will go into the H.O.F and we all Know RAY LEWIS WILL. I believe McGahee has a good chance if he keeps up his good rushing stats! and keeps on playing the way he plays.

I am sure Billick will go in as well, to me that is a guarantee with Ray Lewis i would put money on.

Maybe Kelly Gregg? LOL down the road but i doubt it.. SINCE HE is SO UNDERRATED!! as if people have something against the guy to never really talk about him.. he is a hell of a PLAYER!.

Don't forget REED!! his stats r freaking GERREAT BEST SAFTEY IN THE NFL CAN U DISAGREE?! and Suggs they are both sort of YOUNG but VERSATILE & if they keep playing the way they do i could see in years and years to come them BOTH going in!. REED BETTER GET IN would be nice to have 3 MIAMI RAVEN BOYS in the H.O.F :).. and then my signed Ed Reed authentic can go up in PRICE :)!.

Also can't forget C-mac THEE 2nd best corner in the NFL period in my opinion and has been for YEARS! & Stover with the numbers he has and all the YEARS he has played and his SB ring to back it all up.... HECK all of OUR points HALF are probably from STOVER!!.

But i KNOW Billick, & Ray Lew, and i believe J-LEW are going in %100 percent some day.

Now you can all say what u want and try to flame what i believe but i stand by that!!. And when the time comes in many years i can say I TOLD YOU SO!! BOOOYAHH!

LOL!

Wow, that post is like a joke. Brian Billick in the HOF? Kelly Gregg? Terrell Suggs (maybe if he plays 6-7 more years and does great)? Todd Heap.

I'm a HUGE Heap fan, but c'mon. There are only 14 TEs in the Hall of Fame. There are 3 in the league performing better than him now. Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, and Jason Witten. Heap can make it, he just needs to step it up. Big Time.

There are only 21 coaches in the HOF, guess what? Brian's not going in.

There's only 19 DBs. Reed has a chance if he keeps up his brilliance, but McAlister is very unlikely to get in.

Greggs not going in, plain and simple.

I know some of you are probably going to question my fanhood, but just because I don't think every Raven on the roster should be inducted doesn't mean I'm not a die-hard fan. Sorry :(

Unless everyone plays the way Ray Lewis does/did in the previous seasons. Reed does have a shot if he plays the way he does for another 3-6 more years. So does Heap if he steps his game up by A LOT.

edit - does anyone know who has the most interceptions in all the NFL? during their whole career span I mean. Ed Reed has like 34 in like 6 years along with 880 yrds returning his INTs.

I'm on the same page as you, a lot of members here are TOO optimistic, and some of us just try to keep a sense of realism.

For the most part, I agree. I dont know that Reed gets in. I think he has to get a ring to really stamp his ticket. If Heap would have stayed healthy all those years he would have the numbers but I dont see it. Billick is certainly not going and if he does it wont be because of what he did with the Ravens. I dont know about McAlister either. I dont know about Suggs either. He'd probably be up against guys like Merriman, Freeny and a couple of other guys. Those guys get a lot more recognition then he does. And I dont really see that trend changing.

Paul Krause with 81. He played from 1964-1979. With today's rules, I doubt anyone will actually top that.

I think Ed Reed can catch up to that. Hes got like 34 I think. Champ Bailey has the most with 40 somethin. But Ed has more years in him then Champ so I think Ed can probably pass 60 with the way hes been gettin interceptions throughout his career.

He probably could get 60 but 81 is a tall order.

well he has 34 so thats about 7 interceptions a season within his 6 year career. thats pretty good if you ask me. so when he his the 10 year mark he probably might be a little over 70. Im hopin he plays past 10 years though. He might be able to shatter that record. Champ wont make it because hes been in for 9 years so I doubt he will go any further after the 11th season. old age will probably bring him down is what I think. Ed Reed does have a shot at breaking the record though.

Except by the time he enters his tenth year, he'll be in his mid 30's and every one will know not to throw near him any more.

LOL Billick has a better shot at the HOF from becoming a annoucer then a coach, I liked Billick, but you have to be a very good head coach to get in. Now Belicheat has a good chance, but They might deny Him for cheating.Kelly Gregg is very underrated, but He's not that great.Stover will have a real good chance at getting in, but theres not many kickers in the Hall. C-Mac might be considered for the Hall but weather or not He gets in is argumentitive. Reed has to play as well as He has for a few more years before any of us can say He has a shot. Heap is good, but He has to stay healthy, and then I still dont think He has a shot at the Hall. J Lewis I think will get in but It will probally take Him alot of years, and thats only If no one else tops or Hits the 2,000 yard mark.

Thats true. Then again.... With the way our defense pressures the QBs they'll want to get rid of the ball and it dont matter in what direction its going in as long as it wont be intentional grounding.

34 / 6 = roughly 6 interceptions per year (6 * 6 = 36)

The guy with the 81 INTs was in for 15 (edit) years, so if Reed makes it that long, we're looking at

6 * 15 = 90 INTs

He has a chance if he keeps up his current average, but older players can slow down and nothing's guaranteed. He's a warrior, so I'm definitely rooting for him. What kind of fan would I be if I didn't want it to happen!?

Good luck REED! Keep on truckin' . . .
