What The Steelers Should Be Worried About...

IDK, Our running game has suffered this year because of our O-Line. They've had their games but so has Mendenhall. Against the Chiefs we couldn't do squat in the run game until McGahee broke one out.

I WAS surprised that Flacco was sacked as much as he was, but aside from one of them it seemed that he was holding the ball too long (something I know a little about lol).

Ed Reed's interceptions
2. Suggs's sacks
3. Rice's running
4. Mason and Heap being open for long catches!
what do you think we will and should do to win?
Go Ravens!!!
[/quote]

Same thing it always comes down to ... our OL and winning the situational and turnover battles.

Have you read the "Byrne Identity"?
http://www.baltimoreravens.com/News/Articles/2011/01/Byrne_Identity_-_Every_NFL_Team_Is_Flawed_In_Some_Way.aspx

Steelers/Ravens have a lot in common. Just swap out the names.
Ben is the big difference. Flacco is no Ben.....YET

That's because all of our POSSESSION receivers are busy running streaks down the field. Seriously, Joe would be considered elite, if we used slants in the majority of our play calls.

They work so well against our type of defenses. Steelers have been punishing us for years with the quick slant. That AFCCG a few years ago, that's the majority of what they were using.

But yea Joe gets sacked a lot, but its better than throwing INTs.

Wow, good read, thanks.

Actually, I still think our defense is intimidating.

I'm sure there are things about us that scare you but things that may cancel them out.

For instance, Boldin and Mason plus Housh and Heap, frightens me, but Flacco doesn't. Ray Lewis and Suggs concern me but the CB's do not and Ed Reed has never been a factor (knocks wood). Ray Rice usually starts out hot, but then disappears and we get McGahee who has only made an impact inside the 5...., we just need to keep you away from there. lol

True. Did he or did he not throw a pick early in the Chiefs game? I thought I recall that he did but then heard someone say he threw no picks.

Hello all,
Kinda new here but well. I watched the game on Sunday from Dundee in scotland and while I am stil learning the rules and the players, ravens are still my team. My brother got married over in US and he got me my ravens shirt. Anyhew I thought the ravens did exceptional well against KC but there were a couple of tense moments were Flacco had to almost pick up the team and run himself as to say "By the way guys, this way to there goal line" if they are to win next weekend they will have to all play at there top effort as the teams are so evenly matched. Rantings of a Rookie over

There were two dangerous throws early on which could've been picks. Instead of holding onto the ball like he usually does, he tried to make some really tough throws.

Welcome to the message board and to being a Ravens fan. You've chose a class organization to cheer for.

I don't know how long you've been watching the Ravens. But this upcoming game is a treat to all football fans.

Oh man. This game will get you hooked. It will be hard hitting. These two teams have the best rivalry in the NFL right now. FYI, to be a Ravens fan, you must hate the Steelers.

Probably, Sanchez played like crap. I hate how he'll be credited with a playoff win. But in reality the Jets won despite what Sanchez did. Sanchez should get a post season loss for that game.

Very true, as is the reverse. However, since he's so new to the game he may wish until AFTER Saturday before swearing any allegiances. :P

Weird, when I watch a Steelers/Ravens game, I don't feel the intimidation of you defense, as much as frustration over Flacco's learning curve.
I guess my biggest fear is Ben. He knows how to come back and win a game. Troy, Ward, whoever..I think Ben is the x facter between the two teams.

Right now, I think you should be worried about Ray and Suggs. The D have kicked it up a notch lately./

I really do believe Suggs has the game of his career. He's been getting better and better as the season progresses, tack on the fact that its a playoff game against the one team he plays the best against us and ******BOOM****** Man is going to be in a zone of his own.

We've got a keeper here. Trust me don't got to the darkside and rout for the Steelers. Everbody that knows nothing usually does. The Ravens are a real team, with a real fan base.

Out with the old, in with the new. We play with young moxy, not like 'we had to walk 15 miles in the snow to get to school'.

This is one of the great things about following a sport that aint big here in scotland, I can choose a team on the fact I like how they play and there spirit and not because they have a huge history or a big franchise.

Well, you're going to swear you're watching the same team wear two different uniforms on Saturday.

By-the-way, you could have chosen any team you wanted here in the U.S. as well. I live in NY Giants/NY Jets territory just north of Eagles territory. The Eagles and Giants have an even longer history in the NFL. I just happened to grow up in the 70's.

To be fair, like Warden said, these two teams are of the same mold. One is a storied franchise, the other a young successful one. Both these teams emphasize defense, have tough QBs and great coaches (except OC).
