Confident?

You forgot making that ONE correct play call at the CRITICAL time in the game. (the pass play in the MUST RUN situation that allowed Palamalu to get the strip sack on Flacco). Had Cam called a run play there, we swept Pittsburgh this year.

You'll drive yourself nuts with the "if" scenarios. If McFadden gets back in coverage then we sweep the Ravens. If Jeff Reed doesn't miss two make-able FG's, it's a different game and we probably sweep the Ravens. Our games always come down to those one or two deciding plays.

Call it a superstition, but we'll see who are destined to be advanced.

There is no doubt it'll be an epic battle tomorrow. There is no IF, and there is only one winner.....

Obviously this weekend’s game could go either way. I agree with most others that it will come down to one game changing play. That being said, for the Ravens to up their chances there are a few things I’d like to see. The only players on their team I’m really worried about d*cking us over are wafflesburger, polamalu, and wallace. We need a big game out of suggs and need our line to get a strong push so there aren’t scrambling holes for wafflesburger to find. I’d like to see a lot more of the 5-7 yard passes we were throwing last week… I think that’s the most we can possibly do to try and remove polamalu from the game. And as far as wallace goes, I’d like to see Josh Wilson on him… and hopefully continuous pressure on Ben. Mattison has been better about calling pressure packages, and I hope it continues… if we rely on the 3 man rush the entire 4th quarter (like we always do against the Steelers) it will lose us the game. If we keep up the intensity and play to WIN for 60 minutes I think we should be fine.

17-13 Ravens.

Extremely confident. Ben isn't the difference maker he's hyped to be. The Steelers were playing .750 ball without him and played .750 ball with him. Against the Ravens he's had a lot of success, but I'll take a relatively healthy Ravens team any day. Last game they were without Heap and McClain. Steelers should have dominated, but didn't. They've got momentum and know they can win at Heinz Field. It's time to show the rest of the world that. I'm confident that tomorrow, they will.

Why do you torture yourself with all these extreme predictions and forecasts about "quitting the NFL?"
[/quote]

Torture for me would be Sevenburgh, everyone has a tipping point.. that would just be too much.

I understand.

BTW - It would be "Stairway to Seven." I don't think Sixburgh becomes Sevenburgh, but I kind of like the sound of that.

So? Everyone had the Ravens losing against the Pats in the post-season last year.

I'm predicting that we blow them out by three scores. It's the law of averages, Big Bens luck finally runs out.

Oh yeah, if the Steelers win the Superbowl I'm quitting the NFL.

IF we lose on Saturday, given the teams remaining in the SB race, I'd be hard pressed not to want the Steelers to win. Unless Seattle manages to pull off a couple more miracles. Then it would kind of be poetic justice for them to beat the Steelers in the SB. :242736:

I'm like a kid at Christmas, I can't wait to go to bed tonight so I can wake up and tomorrow will be here.
I have a good feeling about this, I just hope Billy Cundiff is on top of his game, I think we will need him.

So long as tomorrow night you're not like a kid going to bed after Christmas, with it being over.

'It' being our playoff run in this case.

I start thinking the Ravens will win. But then I wonder if I'm letting my emotions win out.
I listen to ESPN or other national shows and most of them pick the Steelers. Of course they don't know this Ravens team like local Baltimore people do, those who have watched them game after game all season. How we came so close to beating the Steelers twice, and were ahead virtually the whole game.

I'm hopeful but I am not confident. I think the Ravens have a better chance of winning than the Steelers do. But to be honest I can see this game going either way.

I'm confident. The Ravens are rolling, hungry and motivated. Rays got that ring out, showing the guys what they are fighting for. They also have the situation with Reed which seems to have elevated their play.

I think the Ravens will win this game in big fashion.

Honestly about as confident as I've ever been before the Ravens take on the Steelers. The gas pedal must be floored for 60 minutes.

I'm a hell of a lot more confident than I was in 08'. I am so confident that I have had a perma-smile on my face all week. I got good feelings right now.
