Seahawks Win

The hawks was a team that believed in them selves and believed in what they could do. That team was unified and fired up. Good for them I say. I was very excited. Great game.

I still think you have to take this game with a grain of salt. Hawks play much better at home than they do on the road. They get a Saints team in who is use to dome speed. The Saints had to travel cross-country and playing in sub 40 degree weather (which they have a bad history in). On top of that they had to rely heavily upon backup RBs, Jones and Wynn.

It was an ideal situation for the Hawks to capitalize on. But I don't hold the win with too much credence. But nevertheless its still impressive.

That run by Lynch at the end was amazing, and reminiscent of Willis' run against the Raiders, but even more eye-popping and clutch considering what was at stake

The Saints are soft and they proved it yesterday. They talked a lot of trash when they were here, in Baltimore, and got the game handed to them. They went into Seattle with the same arrogance and are now catching up on their DVRs.

I'm glad the Saints got fried and media darlings Sean Payton and Drew Brees got outplayed by their counterparts.

Im happy that Seattle beat the Saints....and the Refs. On that double move by the TE, he never stepped out of bounds but the ref certainly said he did

Oh to be a Monday morning Quarterback in the "Big Easy" !!!!!!

At least they just won a Superbowl so I doubt they'll be as critical.

I don't buy this argument one bit. Sure everyone will use this as a case for re-seeding but let me start out by saying, yes the Saints had to use backup RBs but come on PU you know how it is here in Baltimore, NEXT MAN UP! If the Saints can't run the ball effectively when their main guy goes down, they need to add better depth behind Thomas and Bush. That is so similar to when fans say, "you only won because Player X didn't play." I say to that, add better depth behind him.

Now to the "Seahawks won ONLY because it was in Seattle" argument. Didn't realize that Pete Carrol has 2 playbooks that he chooses from when they play a team. One playbook for when they are on the road and one for at home. That is what your telling me when you use that argument. As one person said, the Saints are soft and that game showed it. People were saying the same thing about the Ravens/Chiefs game, it should have been played in Baltimore because we have the better record, did it make a difference to us, no the outcome would have been similar no matter what. I just think people are not willing to admit the Seahawks are better than their record shows and that they just want to keep the little guy down!

Happy for Hasselbeck to go out in style for Seattle, he took that city to a Super Bowl in 05 and together with Holmgren made it a formidable NFC team for a number of years. Makes me think of the old boxing principle "every great boxer has one last great fight left in him" Hasselbeck just had his.
