Why We Could Beat K.C.

79 posts in this topic

This is not smack talk but the Kansas City Chiefs are posers. There is no way they win this game and this is why, their whole season is a fluke. Look at the teams they have played, mind you they have been Blow-out a couple times too.

Usually i don't like to base a teams play against their Division rivals because those games are unpredictable, so here are the teams they beat and lost to.

Wins- Cleavland, Sanfransisco,Jacksonville, Buffalo, Arizona, Seahawks, St.Louis, Tennessee.

Loses- Indy, Houston.

They went 2 out of 6 in the division games.

Also this is for the K.C fans, because their Planet Chiefs forum guys really think their gonna knock us around. I wish i could see their faces Sunday when the inevitable happens.

If the Chiefs win, you have to make a vow to never post here again for cursing this team....

Yep. If we lose, I'm blaming Sizzle. Go find some wood to knock on and while your doing that, throw some salt over your shoulder.

I've seen nothing to make me think this will be a blow out, which means that both teams have a decent chance. Teams have run on the Ravens this year, and Jamaal Charles seems like a back that could give us some trouble.

dude, this is playoff. Even if we play Seattle, I wouldn't even think about taking them lightly at all. Never ever take you opponent lightly. We need to come out and play like there is no tomorrow regardless who's on the other field; even if there is a high school kids on the other side. Just come out play our games: play physical, less turnovers, and play smart.

It is one way route, and if you miss an exit, you can't back up.....

If the Ravens offense knew how to play for more than 1 Qtr per game maybe I would say the Ravens roll but the Ravens have kept EVERY SINGLE game close this season even against the "bad" teams. Ravens have had problems with big #1 WRs and Bowe has 15TDs this season along with Charles who is avg 6 yards per carry and KC is home. Ravens will have to fight for every yard just like they have all season long.

Bingo,,It will be close. Never let a bad team keep it close. Because the longer the game stays close the more they think they can win.

I also think we will win this game but the Chiefs are not "posers." Yes they had a pretty soft schedule this year, but they cannot choose their opponents, all they can do is show up to the game and play it. 10 wins is never an easy task, regardless of who they are against.

You are gonna be one sore man if we lose. I'm gonna laugh at this post if it happens. I understand wanting your team to win, but this is beyond smack talk and being cocky.

KC could win I don't write them off until we have a W but I am leaning towards Baltimore winning this game. I don't think KC can run up the score against our defense but I feel out offense will be able to score on KC defense when needed.

I disagree. I think his post is confidence mixed with reason. Combine that with the way this forum has been for the past couple of weeks with the doom, gloom, and general whineration, we need a little bit of cockiness just to balance out the pathetic ramblings. There is no reason to believe a team that could not beat a .500+ team this year will beat one of the most talented teams in the NFL. NO. REASON. Especially a team whose strength is their RUNNING GAME. If this was the AFC Championship game, maybe, but in a dome, in the Wild Card round, and our fans are scared? Come on now.

Being "realistic" does not mean ignoring the fact the we have a better team than they do. And acknowledging that we should win this game is not a jinx. Much like being nancy negativity (Alexir) does not make you pragmatic.

The Ravens are ready . They are stronger than K.C. quicker and will run at will.
The Crow Call's it Baltimore by 14 and will shut-out Chiefs in the second half! :oldwiseman:

Wouldn't that be a first this year? Specifically the 4th Qtr?

I think that's a little over-confident, stating those points as reasons why we will win, rather than why some are perhaps over blowing them slightly.

I highly doubt the Ravens are looking to the divisional round already. They know the Chiefs are here for a reason, and that is that they won their division. A division which was pretty much up for grabs until a couple of weeks ago. They play good football.

The bottom line is this is the playoffs, it's go hard or go home, no matter who the opposition.

You guys should see what KC is saying about the Ravens; Flacco is garbage, they think Sanchez is better. The Ravens are overrated. Ray Lewis is a murderer. Our defense sucks. Our WRs suck, including Boldin. We're the "Rat Birds", so on and so forth. It's ridiculous the amount of disrespect a team that has beaten on a bunch of nobodies is showing a team thats been to the playoffs for three straight seasons. We play in the damn AFC North. The AFC West is the garbage can of the conference much like the NFC West is in their conference. You guys can't be serious in saying that the initiator of this thread is being cocky or that it's uncalled for.

I'm not a homer by any means, but there's a point where you have to stop saying all these nice things about a team who's fans are clearly delusional and the same team we're about to play in the playoffs. I know that a few fans online don't represent the entire fanbase as a whole, but come on now, they're the enemies at least for this Sunday. I had a whole lot of respect for the Chiefs because I liked some of their players on the team coming out of college, but now, nah, not so much. I don't take that trash talk so lightly like a lot of fans, especially when it's before the game. It's disrespectful, and to be totally honest, I don't even think the Chiefs have a chance this Sunday.

The evidence is here from the past 16 games that this will not be a blowout either way,The only easy game the Ravens had was against Denver....I see a 23-17 score in this one hopefully in the Ravens favor.

We get that from a lot of the teams we play. Almost all of the teams' boards that I've been on this season have said pretty much identical to that. The best was the Jets fans who thought Sanchez would light up the opener. That ended well for them.

Sorry about the troll guys, that trashy board is definitely NOT one I hang out at.
Yeah, the KC fans posting here have been respectful and I hope any of our visitors on their boards have been the same.

On paper, yes, we should win this game but if this season has taught us nothing else, it should have shown us that we like to make things harder than they need to be.

I expect a good game. Most likely of the nail biter variety that the Ravens like to give us fans. I still do expect a win though, as I'm sure the KC fans do as well.

Which teams the Ravens and Chiefs have played really means nothing as to who could win THIS game. It's not even a weak argument, it's just no argument at all...

The Ravens lost to the Bengals once, and almost lost to them a 2nd time. That had no bearing on the games the Ravens played against the Patriots, Jets, Steelers, Falcons, or Saints.

Meanwhile, the Bengals beat the Ravens once and almost a 2nd time... but yet they had a 10 game losing streak during the season to much "lesser" opponents than the Ravens.

As Ray Lewis says... "bottom line... bottom line... bottom line..."

...the Ravens could beat KC because the Ravens are a participant in this game. And likewise, the Chiefs are also participating in this game, so that is why they could beat the Ravens.

Someone once said, "Any given Sunday in the NFL...etc." Fortunately, this will not be the case. Everyone on the Ravens know how important it is to make it past the 1st round when you have had a 12-4 regular season. Now, hold on to your hats. We are about to take off to the promised land. We CAN beat the Colts this year. We HAVE already beaten the Steelers and the Jets. We DID beat the Patriots in the playoffs last year. So what is stopping us this year? Certainly not the Packers or the Falcons. Be optimistic. There is no one else to cheer for our Ravens except for us.

I am not trying to be rude, but it's just as important for a team that went 10-6 to get through the first round as it is to a team that went 12-4.
