Done... Saints are done and our 1st 7-9 team will advance to the divisional round!

Well if GB wins tomorrow, Seattle goes to Chicago, if Philly wins, Seattle goes to Atlanta.

Ouch. Well this pretty much ends the reseeding argument. Our win against the Saints looks slightly less impressive.
[/quote]

Not necessarily. Hawks had a huge advantage with having their 12th man. Plus the Saints suck outside in December. If this game was in NO, I'm sure it would've been a blow out.

The Hawks just so happen to get a break by being a sucky team that gets a home game. They play so much better at home.

It doesn't really help the reseeding argument because you could argue Seattle only won because they were playing at home. Does a 7-9 team deserve that kind of advantage?

As much as I enjoyed that game, I think I enjoyed Mike Mayock's commentary even more!

The man needs to replace Matt Millen on NFLN ASAP!!!

1 more game left... this will help decide our fate as long as the Ravens win tomorrow.

Jets win, we win, we go to Pittsburgh
Indy win, we win, we go to New England

This is exactly why you don't foolishly overreact to a losing team winning the division for the first time in league history and propose divisional re-seeding. Any given Sunday!

Agreed. He's the quintessential analyst.

I can't wait to see who loses this game. That's the only thing I really care about. Jets lose, we can laugh at their expense. Colts lose, one less problem for us to worry about.

Man that run was just so awesome, that's like NFL Classic material right there. How do you break 7 tackles and go 67 yards when the defense knows you're running?

I don't doubt Sanchez plays well today. Colts defense is banged up plus he gets to play indoors. Where its warm, his fingers aren't cold.

But it will be fun to watch Manning pick apart the Jets blitzes.

See I'm with you. I can't help wanting to return the favor of taking them out of the race. My husband and sons all want to go see Brady. They think we'll face far less injuries there and believe we can come out on top.

Lynch's run reminded me of David's return run during the Texan game. It was a great run. Well I was wrong,I seriosuly thought the Saints would win.

Also too, if the Jets happen to beat the Patriots, and we beat the Steelers and it becomes a Ravens/Jets AFC Title game, than Ravens finally get a home playoff game and so really I just want us to finally have a home playoff game and if it takes Jets winning tonight and Jets beating the Patriots, and for us to knock off KC & Pittsburgh to do it so be it.

Just a reminder of Peyton Manning's history against Rex Ryan's defenses:

Since 2005, Ryan's first year as a defensive coordinator, Manning's numbers:
5-1 (including playoffs)
Outscored Ryan's team 129-51
108 of 171 (63.1%) for 1321 yards, 12 TDs, 2 INTs and a QB rating of 105.4.

Theoretically, if Manning were to play a 16-game season against Rex Ryan's defenses, he would average 288 of 456 (63.1%) for 3523 yards, 32 TDs, 6 INTs and a QB rating of 104.8. In the one regular-season loss to Rex Ryan, Manning was benched shortly before the end of the first half when the Colts' starters were being rested for the playoffs.

Peyton Manning owns Rex Ryan's defenses.

Actually, I think this supports reseeding. Had the Saints been at home, they'd have more likely won the game.

That's the same thought I had. Seattle winning is the reason why reseeding was suggested. A very bad record w/ a home game, and they can only play good ball at home. While the Saints had a great regular season and have to go on the road, where they suck in December.

That's how I feel. It's like I want the Jets to win, but I can't get myself to really want that for the same reasons you posted. I just want one of these teams to lose.

I thought Seattle may have stayed close but this is the upset of the week...N.O. did not play well the last few weeks.

They played well enough to beat Atlanta in Atlanta, something no one else could do.
