We didn't give extra incentives when we found out Reshard Mendenhall was smack talking are run defense or when Suggs put a "bounty" on HInes?

Just because we didn't get caught, doesn't make us choir boys, same with other teams. This goes on in lockerrooms. Saints got caught, let it be.

Can we actually close this thread and move the convo to the Saints bounty program?

Because this really has nothing to do with Flacco's demeanor.

@charles1712............I get what you are saying and for the most part I believe everything you said is true. With that said, I loved the Joe Flacco I saw in the second half of the Cards game last season. I think Anquan Boldin also inspired Joe that day. Q was a beast. Joe has nothing to prove to me, I think he can win us a Super Bowl. He certainly played better than Brady in the AFC Championship game. I am looking forward to seeing him under Caldwell this season.

Hines Ward should of went to the Saints. Dirty player, dirty team = perfect fit

Meh, you don't want a guy who cries too much like that when you are already below sea level. Levies might break again and flood.

Well, if it carries Ward out to sea never to be seen again, is that a bad thing?

There is a saying in Italy, "Se tutti sono colpevoli allora nessuno è colpevole." (If everyone is guilty then no one is guilty) This doesn't make doing bad things right but makes the guilty feel justified in their actions. I don't want any players injured for a stupid bounty.

Why can't we let the cheshire cat grin and fade away?

Ward reminds me of the cheshire cat of Alice in Wonderland. One thing for certain, he will disappear from the list of the Ravens' most hated player this year.

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat. "I don't much care where." said Alice. "Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.

on the couch meaning i can't play. Some of you guys have no idea. I would say google my name, but that would be off topic. I played football on every level and that hit was weak.

I'm curious to know who you claim to be. Am I supposed to have any idea what your name is? I could guess that your first initial is R. and your last name Bates, but I can't find any record of any R. Bates ever playing in the NFL, and you said you played "on every level."

Here's a nice video I found:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRKC5jbswbw

Look at that! Seriously! Suggs is literally in the middle of the process of sacking him when he throws the ball. He's already wrapped up and the momentum is already carrying both men to the ground, it's a perfectly clean, legal hit, and it isn't even late. And they throw a flag on THIS? It's total BS. Ravens defenders get flagged for stuff like this all the time, but Flacco is obviously hit illegally AND late, and there's no flag? Definitely a double standard. Flacco was very right to be angry.

There should be no problems with those hits. Those hits are football. Those hits are in real time when the game is going fast paced. But the hit on Flacco had nothing to do with the fast pace of the game.. he was clearly already down & the use of the knee was not necessary... late 'taps' on the QB shouldn't draw a flag... the problem was the intent of going down on the QB with your knee with that late effort.
I know that but the poster saying it was not about Flacco's demeanor anymore is technically right. I am actually glad someone bumped that video up, I remember Joe speaking loudly to the ref but since I was at the game never really saw the replay. I do recall thinking the Saints play dirty

Yeah, and now we know that the Saints were getting paid for hits like that, so I guess it wasnt weak and I guess it wasnt an accident.
I guess, but that hit was weak.........Man this thread is old.

Yeah and I invented the internet. It is easy to make claims using the anonymity of a forum.

Nah, don't tempt him. He's posted his name before, and I think he played for the Colts.

Still, don't listen to anything he says regarding Flacco ;)

Flacco's demeanor...LOL, they say the exact same thing about Eli Manning too...guess what he did this year with his lack of fire and emotion

hmmm, 2 years in a row Joe has made the throws to win us games and 2 years in a row his WRs have let him down

thats the truth

I guess the forum must be really bored to go on and attack each other about something that was more than a year ago. Must be because there's not much action in free agency for our Front Office.LOL Flacco's demeanor, I brought this thread up because it focused on Flacco's reaction on them bounties. I guess Flacco knew what was up, but didn't know that there was a bounty on his head.
