New EA Sports Football GM Cam Weber has already said that the AI Secondary has gotten a MAJOR Improvement. Plus on the plus side, Cam Weber is a Former College QB!

This is tremendous news.

Maybe this Cam Weber guy will consider adding some of the successful aspects of NFL Head Coach (Offseason, draft etc.) since he genuinely seems to be trying to make the game deeper, more involving and much more detailed.

Yeah and I just saw this regarding Franchise Mode and Superstar Mode:

Franchise mode includes more than 100 new features and enhancements, including expanded rosters, an all-new rookie scouting system, a free-agent bidding system, and more.


In Superstar mode, fans can now control the growth of their superstar with an all-new progression system that allows you to earn skill points by participating in practice and games. More details on Franchise and Superstar modes will be released on May 16.

Franchise is already upgraded and has made it a must buy for me! Gamers have been asking for expanded Rosters, a better Free Agency system and scouting system and now we got it.

Didn't buy Madden last year because Franchise and Superstar modes remained untouched. The small hints of upgraded Franchise and Superstar modes aren't doing it for me, likely gonna wait until the game is out and I have a comprehensive understanding of all the new enhancements before I consider buying it. Plus it seems every year there's always a few things about the gameplay that sneak in and are a gamebreaker and never get fixed.

I don't know anyone can call these minor upgrades to Franchise Mode, we have never had expanded Rosters with Cut Down Dates, and if they did tweak the Draft and Free Agency Logic for the AI it could be one of the best Franchise Modes since the PS2 Days. Expanded Rosters and Cut Down Dates instantly improves on Franchise Mode itself without any other upgrades, I can't wait until May 16th when they reveal the Full Franchise Mode Blog to see what they else did.

3D grass coming back!!! it looked so good back when madden frist came to the next gen consoles. but the framerate took a bad hit. I think they finally worked it out now.

EA needs to bring back the Team Themed Menu Backgrounds from the PS2 Days. For the first couple times it will be nice to look at the new menu and Peyton Hillis but after a while we will want to change it... also does anyone wanna guess what the "Coaching" could be?

For the custom playbooks would be my guess. I really hope they revamped the drafting system, that thing is almost as broken as Superstar is.

actualy the Draft IQ system has been updated thats one of the major overhauls they did , that and the roster limit , oh coincidentally I wonder how much of what they reported before Ian was fired was kept

I wrote a 2,000 word boarderline essay telling them everything that was wrong with the game. I assume it got ignored. We'll see when Madden 12 comes out and Superstar mode is still and empty husk of a mode.

I dont mean the IQ system, I never really ran into teams picking weird players in weird spots, most of the selections I could understand. I meant the whole scouting process, no way to work out the players before the draft to see if they fit your schemes, no way to scout players for 43 or 34 defenses. NFL Head Coach did a great job of allowing you to analyze the draft.

That's what I want them to do and it can't be THAT difficult to implement in to Madden.

Ya that was ridiculous taking RFAs out of the game, absolutely stupid. Next time Madden tries to play to the "casual" football fan, maybe they should remember that theres like 100 million hardcore football fans in North America. And the casual ones can suck it !

Yeah I like how they moved the release of Madden closer to the regular season. Hopefully with the later release date it gives them time to work on getting the default rosters right and not all screwy like it has been the past couple years.

If they weren't improving Franchise Mode the way they have already said, I would just finish creating rookies and just stay with Madden 11.
