happens to me playing madden 10 al the time,or they call it a fumble, the best play was when an DT intercepted me and returned it 90 yards for a TD.
Hahaha, it's the worst. I don't know why I buy Madden every year. I probably just like to see the rookies.

Leave it to Madden to add "surprise onside kicks" instead of working on the actual physics and gameplay of the game itself.

Good thing you brought this up, because this is one of the things I want.

1. Custom Sim: If you choose to Sim a season, you can either have the CPU Sim it like it is now, or you can choose a Custom Sim where you pick the division records, playoff teams, etc. That way you could have the Packers in the playoffs.

2. Play Other Games: Remember the days on the PS2 where even if you did a 1 team Franchise, you could have the option of playing other games during the week, bring that back. That way we could create our own parity if we wanted to.

3. Editable Imported Draft Class: Right now the NCAA Draft Import is so random, please let us edit or, you can actually fix this in NCAA by being able to see the Projected Round that player is going to be taken in and being able to edit it before you import it. Plus if we are able to see it, that could be used as another reason why a underclassmen should stay, say he is only projected a 3rd rounder, and there should be something that says what their Round would be if they stay another year where say he is a 3rd if he goes out now, but he can be a late 1st rounder if he stays another year.

4. Edit Player Contracts Before Franchise: I have heard other games that have had this, and EA seems to update contracts with Roster Updates but not all of them(Jamaal Charles signed an extension, Antonio Gates signed an extension yet they still have 1 year deals) so before we go into Franchise we could change the contracts.

5. RFA/URFA: We need this back. The way I go about this now is that before I would go into Franchise in the Player Management screen for all 32 teams, I would follow the 6 Years to Free Agency rule like in the NFL and change players(I.E lowering OVR & releasing so they would take a 2 year deal if they didn't have 6 years) just to keep it realistic. It's time consuming but I just pretend they are tendered. Since they may have a new CBA, I'm now following the original rule which is 4 years of service in the NFL so now I'm doing what I did for the 6 years of service for anyone who don't have 4 years of service.

6. Defensive Systems: When I'm playing Madden, I really can't tell the difference between a 3-4 defense or a 4-3 defense. The main reason is because I can take a 4-3 DE and make him a 3-4 DE and there would be no difference. Also it doesn't help that if your drafting, you can't tell which guys would fit your system. I like to see them have Ratings for both 3-4 and 4-3 defenses.

All good points.

Thanks. Yeah I hate going about every player, and every team to make sure it feels like I have Restricted & Unrestricted Free Agency. I started with the Ravens last night and got to the Bucs and stopped and that took about 2 hours. I just posted that list I made into the Operation Sports Forum. I just think overall, it's time EA gives Offline users as much custom options as possible and stop limiting everything.

Superstar was crap.
Franchise was crap.
They took out some parts of game-play to "make it easier for you."

They've got a lot of stuff to fix before I'm sold on buying the new Madden.

Cut down on the amount of broken tackles!!! Especially on All-madden! Darren Sproles shouldnt be able to shed a Ray Lewis tackle so easily!!

You should be able to make your own schedule before the season or edit the one they give you. 5 or 6 straight games on the road is killer.

That's a good one and you can already do that with NCAA. Though I just would like to edit Weeks 11-17 to make your own Flex Scheduling.

JO75m your exactly right about the scheme diversity when it comes to evaluating players. And whats disgusting is the old NFL Head Coach games had that, you had to scout for the draft and FA based on your scheme and if certain players fit in it. IE Suggs isn't going to be playing 34 DE, and if he does he'd be like a 38 overall, if you plugged him at 43 DE, he'd fit better but not as well as 34 OLB so he'd be like an 86 or something. It irks me to no end trying to find undersized college 43 DEs and putting them at OLB and their rating goes to like a 50.

Also, ENOUGH WITH THE RAIN!!!

in 16 games I get maybe two sunny days, 2 snow days (which I don't mind) and probably 12 rain games (barring domed games). ENOUGH!!!!

How about enough with the special teams touchdowns during supersim?

It's getting pretty ridiculous.

yea, that too.

Played a great game against the Browns last night. Cribbs busted one on me though.

So now it's a week 17 showdown: 12-3 Steelers at home against the 11-4 Ravens (Ravens won the first match up....by ONE point). Winner is the second seed behind New England. Sound familiar? And no, I did not plan or create this in any way.

In the words of Bart Scott, "Can't wait!!!"

I used to play between 6 and 8 games, but with my new slider settings, I may be playing 12-14.

No I start over. I redo an entire fantasy draft and I play another 2010 season. I really enjoy doing fantasy drafts.

I can't continue becuase there are just too many uncertainties in real life to allow me to move on to the next year. I can't allow myself to believe who is going to get better, who is going to retire, etc.

I can't help, I enjoy the comforts of the 2010 season when playing Madden 2K11. Home is where the heart is. Venturing off into the future of Madden scares the living **** out of me.

I think he is too, even for all they took away in Franchise, the off-season is still somewhat manageable. I enjoy the off-season so much I just sim seasons and get right to the off-season.

I don't know what you mean by this. Why would I pull your leg? I've never even met you before, I don't even know what your leg looks like.

Seriously though, I don't mess around with the offseason. I just don't like the idea of it. I blame it on my picky OCD (self-diagnosed).

Besides I really dig the fantasy drafts. Sometimes I go heavy in the trenches, other times skilled positions. Sometimes I got 1 and 1 for O and D. Then I pull a Redskins and trade away all my draft picks to upgrade to give myself a one shot window at a ring.

Tried it once or twice but I didn't like it. It's too difficult to decide who to take second.

Second? Yea it is difficult to decide. Because If you pass up a position, by the time you are up next time all the good guys in that position are gone.

The CPU is very systematic when it drafts. It drafts positions in swarms. Then it won't touch a guy in that position for a long time.

I usually draft a star WR or RB with my first pick, I'll wait for a QB until like the 3rd round. Try to get a stud defensive man in the 2nd or 4th. It's tough sometimes my teams are utter crap, others are awesome.

I've always gone O-line and defense first then RB and the rest of the skill positions. But this was years ago.

The only thing that pisses me off is when one of your top draft picks gets injured during the Supersim Preseason games. I mean, c'mon man.

If you do a fantasy draft with a mid selection like 12-18 you can almost get a perfect team. Since you are picking in the middle of the pack almost every time you go to draft a player in the position the ratings will be higher than say if you were picking in the top 10 or bottom 10, they are more consistent because you get to select before the comps go nitpicking through each position if you do it right.

Agreed. It seems more often than not, they always have you selecting like in the late 20's. It's cool when you have back to back picks. But its a pain when you see the guys remaining next time your up.
