how about Ed from Arbutus as the new OC?
Why not? That guy knows his football. I always enjoy his calls.

I like Ed too, but it's kinda creepy how he must listen all day, write down certain points he thinks up with his abbreviated language, and reads them off to Scott and Jeremy.
Don't get me wrong, he seems like a really good guy, and I think he actually is or was a coach, maybe high school or something.

I dont know why there has to be an all sports talk station now in every city. Take baltimore for example, when the ravens season is over and the orioles suck and loose all the time they painfully struggle on what to talk about. I personally loved it whe we had don and mike in the afternoon and other talk guys in the morning. How much sports can you really talk about 7 days a week?

I like listening to them year round. Off season, mostly from and to work. Even though I do not watch Oriole games, I know what is going on. They talk about other local college sports. I mostly listen for any tidbit they might say about the Ravens. Things like the draft, trades, off season signings, training camp etc. During the season, I may listen even during work hours.

GREAT example, I was in the car listening to the radio. A woman Ruth, from Iowa. She said she called to make a statment. Of course I do not know the exact words but it was along the lines,

The offensive line will be protecting Joe 100%.

Scott, realized it was "Mrs. Yanda" Marshall's mom.

She said the OL is ready, this is what they have trained for all year.

asked if she will be at the Steeler's game.

She said yes, she goes to all Raven/Steeler games.

lol, Ed from Arbutus cracks me up. Everyone thinks he's great but wait till an English teacher gets ahold of him. WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too many back to back adjectives and adverbs.

I've always wondered about Ed from Arbutus. I love football been watching forever, played backyard football into my 30's, but do not know the X's and O's. (one day I'll read a book or something about it)
Does what he say make sense? I don't know if it is my football Illiteracy, his adj, adv., or monotone reading, I only understand half of it.

The best thing about Ed from Arbutus is that he is prepared. He comes on, makes his point and gets off. It drives me crazy when callers ramble on.

Ed's a good guy. I have to let him see all the support he's getting here. He owns a sub shop here in Arbutiiii
If that is true he is not who I was thinking about whose name is Ed and lives in Arbutus lol

I myself like listening to what ED has to say,he is much more concise and professional, and even knowlegable about any subject being spoken about, unlike 90% of the people that actually get paid to do it in the first place on that channel...
I stopped listening though cause of way too much complaining and negative remarks...And i cant stand viv and the bulldog especially when they went on a 10 minute tyrade on some caller cause the guy called them both out for complaining about their veiw on Baltimores pessimistic nature on the Ravens and yet viv and bulldog both picked against the ravens and they had won that particular week, they then proceeded to just berate and belittle this guy and his opinion for at least 10 minutes sounding like little kids that lost a running race during recess in elementary school.......my honest opinion......they are like leeches, making money off their opinions of athletes individual or teams acheivements and accomplishments....without the athletes or teams what good would they serve????????

I know what would serve this little rant... Some punctuation. : P

Seriously though, I agree. Viv and Dog are Punks.

I would like to debate Bulldog on Ravens football.

Actually, that should read: "I would like to destroy Bulldog in a debate about Ravens football."

I think they should find a way to have a brief sobriety test for some of these callers...

I LOVE listening to Scott and Jeremy banter, Ed from Arbutus,
and Steve Davis. Wish they'd dump Norris, Viv, and that Bulldog guy.
And Ken Wineman needs to tone it down - he stresses me out raising his voice!

Keep it going Ravens - you're a classy organization with awesome team members
throughout!

thats cool if ya do, I dont want to bash you, I personally though dont see a reason though for it all year though. I just kinda tune out after the ravens are done because outside of the tidbits of ravens news they pass along nothing really goes on for me. I dont really care about the local sports like high school and stuff so maybe thats it and I have become so turned off by the orioles.

I guess it makes it much easier when you're a Sports Fanatic. I watch all sports so there is always talk thats relevant to what my intrests are. Football ESPECIALLY is becoming more and more a year round thing, due to the amount of coverage it gets! As for High School sports, they vERY rarely get into it, not sure what you're talking about there. Heck, as soon as the SB is over, I'm in draft/combine mode!
