Ex-bengal Reportedly In Trouble Again

3 posts in this topic

Former Bengals linebacker Odell Thurman is facing an indefinite suspension after violating the league's substance abuse policy, a source with knowledge of the situation said today.

Even though he's a former Bengal, this still somewhat surprises me, given the circumstances of his release from Cincinnati to begin with.

Reportedly, Thurman had been grieving the death of his grandmother and had taken time away from the Bengals, but had not gone about the proper channels of doing so. This, in essence, demonstrated a lack of commitment to the team, which makes sense if looked at from the organization's perspective.

Although I initially wanted to give Thurman the benefit of the doubt, maybe the Bengals were finally onto something here with his release?

No say it is not so*gasp* I think the Organization knew he failed the drug test.

I think your right. I dont think its a coincidence that he gets cut, the league anounces that they will began penalizing teams who's players get suspended, and the news that he "possibly" failed a drug test all happens within days of each other.
