They ran away with the stupid "warm-up game" comment, but thankfully some members from here calmed them down. Again, this won't be easy, especially with the way our offense has "performed" all year.

Cassel has made a believer out of me this season. He has been unreal ... I think he, not Charles, is the main reason for KC's resurgence this season.

Okay, there numbers are close. He sat on the bench learning for 3 years, he is in his 6th year. He has the #1 running attack in the league, he is definitely more of a game manager. Last year they were talking about releasing this guy because he underperformed, at the beginning on this year when he was throwing for 63 yards they were talking of benching him.

I guess you can say their stats this year are similar but in my eyes they aren't..as QBs. Joe is ahead of Cassel...if Joe sat learning for 3 years I'm sure he would be way ahead of where this guy is...but that's just be making assumptions. I didn't mean to make you upset, it's my opinion.
Under Brady...
Give that to Joe, and he'd be right up with with the top elite Qb's in the NFL.
Joe got his chance, possibly too soon, he never had anyone to study under.
Was this a mistake, who knows what may have happened, but in the meantime, who would we have had him to study under???

Well they weren't a team before that draft and I was a die hard Ray Lewis fan before that because I like the way he plays the game.

I have a feeling this will be like the Wild Card game against the Dolphins in 08, competitive close game, hopefully our defense steps up like they did then.

As for the Chiefs, they have been to the playoffs before and went home empty. We need Harbaugh to give a Patton-like passionate speech to the Ravens before the game. I'm sure that Ray has a few more speeches under his belt, too. Let's give it all you have and beat the Chiefs. I see the defense playing its heart out regardless of injuries and being tired at the end of the game. We will win or lose if the offense plays better or not. Throw more slant passes over the middle. Dink and dunk like Ms. Brady does. Move the chains.

Well let me tell ya im new to this posting stuff but I got a few things to say.

1. Well first of all as you all know the offense has not been looking to hot. Last year if I'm not mistaken Willis Mcgahee lead the Nfl at one time in TD's rice worked it down and willis put them in. Now that we brought in all these recivers were not running the ball as much we gota get back to that. I'm not talking about the old Brian Billick offense you know run 1st and 2nd down then try to do the fake draw the third. We gota do a little more of what we did last year with running.

2. I think we got to let Joe break free and just "throw-out" becasue from the way it looks its almost as if they are making him go to certain reads every play and if thats not there hes just to throw it away. I think that has to be fixed and just let Joe be Joe.

1) The team has run the ball 487 times compared to last year's 468 times. The huge difference has been the inconsistent play of the offensive line; it doesn't matter how many running plays are called if the offensive line cannot execute and give the RBs a chance to get into a lane.

2) Flacco's reads aren't the entire problem, it's also the design of the routes and, again, the porous offensive line. If the line doesn't give Flacco enough time, he can't make adequate reads. Conversely, even if Flacco has enough time, if the receivers are running routes that worked better in design than execution, there's really nowhere to safely go with the ball. Fitting passes into tight windows may look gutsy and pretty on TV, but they're only great when you complete them to your own receiver than to another jersey. The risk is sometimes higher than the reward in forcing those throws.

They don't get to pick who they play, so they can't help it if they have a weak schedule. Heck, the Ravens arguably have an extremely soft schedule next year since they play only four of this year's playoff teams.

The Chiefs wouldn't be where they are now if they didn't execute and earn their spot. Though they were routed by the Raiders, this is the same Raiders squad that's been wildly inconsistent, having looked like world-beaters and cupcakes in the same season. This same Raiders squad swept the entire AFC West that also consists of an inconsistent Chargers squad that's statistically played well, and a Broncos squad that had started the season on a roll. I wouldn't judge the Chiefs by their performance against the Raiders -- at least not until after this Sunday, anyway.

Bear in mind, again, the Chiefs have Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel, the former offensive and defensive coordinators of the Patriots' three Super Bowl-winning squads. They also have Jamaal Charles at RB, who was a fraction short of besting Jim Brown's record for single-season yards per carry; and Dwayne Bowe at WR, who has been horribly underrated despite being the Chiefs' only consistent playmaker of the past few years. Let's also not forget Matt Cassel, who's finally started to click with his offense and boasts a TD-to-INT ratio that is almost as good as Tom Brady. If Cassel doesn't turn the ball over, the Chiefs have a much better chance of winning than people are giving them credit.

Also, you can't underestimate the effect of the noise level in Arrowhead Stadium. While the Ravens have been road warriors the past couple of years and stifled the Chiefs at Arrowhead in 2006, the noise will still play a factor in the offense's execution, especially if they choose to go no-huddle and use audibles more liberally than in the past.

What are you talking about? I never said anything bad about their offense, I said they have the #1 rushing attack so if we take that away their only weapon is Dwayne Bowe basically.....learn to read and quite acting like its that time of the month for you.

KC passing offense is 30th, rushing 1st, Bal passing is 20th, rushing 14th..

KC passing d is 17th, rushing d 14th, Bal passing d id 21st, rushing d 5th
And what are you talking about? You said you never said anything bad about their offense. I never said you did, did I? I just confirmed that you confirmed why their offense is better than ours, in two things that you stated. How hard was that to understand?

You talk about someone learning to read? Well take your own advice cupcake, and stop acting so paranoid about a freaking post lmao!!!

Keep in mind what the RAVENS have done to Romeo Crennel and his defenses in the past... Just saying. : P

I still can't believe their schedule. They have a great run game, but they've played teams ranked 27, 25, 22, 32, 29, 31, and 30 in run defense.

While homerism may be much more common in a forum dedicated to a single team like this one, I find it too hard to strike up a good, serious debate on mixed forums.

They attract too many trolls and the like. We got a good forum here, despite the odd one or two homers.

Td to turnover ratio? What happened when Chad Pennington came in with his "Unbelievable" ratio ? How many picks did he throw in one game? (Against Us )

It's true that they haven't really beaten an elite team. But they still need to be taken seriously. Any given Sunday.

I don't see how pointing out the success he's enjoyed in his short career counts as putting him on a pedestal. The guy isn't perfect by an stretch of the imagination but for a third year QB, he's pretty good.

haha it's cool. IF (and I still think it's a big if) the Ravens drop this game on Sunday, I will definitely be rooting for the Chiefs all the way.

I can't speak for everyone else but I have not seen more than a few minutes of any of the Chief's games this season. That means all I have to judge your team is stats, records, opponents etc. I agree that doesn't tell the whole story.

It really does need to be Sunday already though lol
