Oh boy.......schedule was preset based on seeding. Nothing to do with Ravens.

The schedule was determined a week ago based on FOX hosting the Super Bowl. This created a trickle-down effect where the networks would alternate late games with the top seeds in each round. If you look at the color-coded AFC/NFC patterns in the first post, you'll get an idea of what I mean. This is a practice that's been in effect for the past few years now.

CBS gets the late Conference Championship game because FOX gets the Super Bowl, FOX gets the latest Divisional Round game, so on and so forth.

Yep but you would think they would change things based on the matchup of the game. I can't believe Ravens/Steelers, as big as a rivalry that is won't be the prime time game on but I guess if GB wins, I can understand since GB/Atlanta would be a great game but if it's Seattle/Atlanta Ravens/Steelers should be after that game.

True, but the idea is that the top-rated conference seeds should have the luxury of playing the late game on each day in the first two rounds because their record has earned them that right. I'll agree, though, that the league should consider re-scheduling based on appealing match-ups, although the networks wouldn't like that since they like the current formula.

I don't know why people use every thing as part of a conspiracy theory. The schedules were mapped out well before anybody played today.

Interesting tidbit, IF we win on Sunday, the Ravens might be playing on Joe Flacco's Birthday, Jan 16th against the Patriot Act.
Or..... If we win on Saturday against the Steelers and the Jets beat the Pats... we could be playing not only on Joe's Birthday but we can have a huge party of 70,000 Ravens fans at M & T Bank.

This AFC divisional bracket was just destined to happen
I believe, for the first time in NFL history, every AFC matchup in the Divisional Round and every possible matchup in the AFC Championship Game will be a rematch from the regular season.

This is, however, the first time in NFL history where each AFC Divisional Round matchup is a third meeting between division rivals.

That's crazy. It's obvious who the elite teams are in the AFC, and I think these teams are the 4 teams most people expected to be here.

Yes. These are the four teams that I thought were the best in the AFC all year. Of course it doesn't mean much now, but yesterday I realized that every team left in the AFC playoffs has won in Pittsburgh this year.

To make predictions, literally leave everything up in the air.

2010 most teams that rose to the play-offs were flight related:
Ravens, Falcons, Seahawks and Jet. None faed eachother first round.

I will take Ravens*/Steelers

But Green Bay will win/Atlanta

Sahawks will pull another upset/Chicago

The Jets*/NE

I'm hopping on the Green Bay bandwagon for the rest of the postseason - just because Aaron Rodgers is freaking amazing... even if he's not a Pro Bowler :34853_shakehead:

How Matt Ryan made it over him, I'll never know.

Green Bay is going to win the Super Bowl imo, whoever comes out of the AFC besides the Pats they won't be able to keep up with the Pack offense, and it's not looking good for the Pats.

You could be right but don't forget that in the playoffs and Superbowl anything can happen.

Did anyone noticed that just before the start of the playoffs there were reports of birds falling out of the sky and now all birds are done for the season. The Eagles, Falcons, Ravens and the Seahawks.
