As others have pointed our, that's not possible. If us and the Colts win, we get the Pats since we're the lower seed.
Sheez, I forgot about the seeds as I was looking at the draw.

Correction on me but I think the Jets might lose cuz Manning is playing pretty well against constant 5-6 guy blitz: Cross, slant and drawbacks which Manning uses often when under blitz. However, I want us to play the Steelers in 2nd and AFC championship against the Pats.

Rex Ryan post-game press conference excerpts:

(AFC Championship): I think we're gonna win it this year.

...we think we're better than any team out there.

http://www.nfl.com/g...@jets#tab:watch

This guy is so full of himself and bullcrap. I can't stand listening to him.

Hey Rex, if your team truly was better than all the other teams, you would have gotten into the playoffs through the front door, not the back!

I heard it too. He can believe what he wants. Time will determine if he's correct in his thinking.

Though Todd Haley is a young coach, keep in mind that offensive coordinator Charlie Weis and defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel were the coordinators of the New England Patriots' Super Bowl-winning squads in 2001, 2003, and 2004. That said, while their rebuilding project is not completely done in Kansas City, they're not a complete pushover of a team.

I've stopped listening to Rex Ryan's bluster. It's just all hot air to me at this point.

No doubt about it. In the coaching department, they've got a huge advantage, which goes a long way in the playoffs.

Win or go home. We shouldn't even dare to think taking any team in the playoffs lightly...

A good warm-up for us sorta like when we played the dolphins a few years ago. Better the cheifs then the colts.
Warm-Up? This game won't be easy. We have to play hard. Kansas City is a threat.

I have faith in my guys though. Contain that run game, and play for 60 minutes on both sides of the ball. Hope that isn't too much to ask for.

hm, so we'd play the Pats if Colts and us win?

I think we have a better chance of beating them anyway. they can't hold on to that regular season streak too much longer! :P

and after last season in the playoffs...

Yes, highest seed always plays the lowest seed, so the Patriots will see the Chiefs, Ravens or Jets after this weekend, depending on who is lowest. If the Jets win, they are guaranteed to play the Patriots. If the Jets lose, the winner of the Chiefs-Ravens game will play the Patriots.

Phew! Now the Colts would have to win two games for us to run into them in the AFC Championship.
Yup, but we have to win 2 as well... and unfortunately, should we meet the Colts, it would be in Indy :(

If Ed & Troy aren't the best saftey combo ever I'd like to see who is.

Ronnie Lott and Paul Krause?

Another note to add, I would say the Chiefs have a little distraction on their hands with Charlie Weis with the whole thing with him leaving KC after 1 year and going back to College and being the OC in Florida. You gotta wonder how much that will hurt them when in terms of their offense.

While I won't question whether the Chiefs themselves will play hard, I do question whether Weis will call the game to the best of his ability if he's got a big money offer from Florida already on the table. I won't accuse Weis of contemplating taking a dive, but it's possible that this offer could cloud his judgment as he prepares for this game on Sunday. His legacy as a coordinator in the NFL is already cemented after three Super Bowl rings.

Kind of think we already did that hoss, he won't shutup even when he loses. I like having confidence in your team but we will see how they do in the playoffs.

It's the playoffs. The Chiefs are in for a reason. But I just don't see us losing unless we have a meltdown on both sides of the ball. We've lost to the Patriots, the Falcons, the Bengals and the Steelers. The Chiefs are nowhere near three out of those four teams. I really think we got this, just stay out of our way, Cam.
