Yes, I am serious because it was a legitimate question you haven't addressed.

Your reading comprehension needs work man. I never said every critique by a Ravens fan regarding Joe's play has been exaggerated. I said it's something I've seen often.

And while Joe certainly didn't light it up today, I wouldn't say he was "horrible" either.
No, it's ok to say that Joe was horrible today, because he was. I think he's thrown for barely 400 yards his last 3 games, if that.

No, I won't say Joe was horrible today with how poor the o-line played and how little we saw underneath routes. On one third down play, there was one WR running a route.

He hasn't exceeded 20 attempts in any of of the last three games either so not throwing for over 400 yards isn't surprising.

it is amazing to see how many cats in here just can't handle people speaking their minds (negatively) about Flacco and are quick to hand out - to posters that do as though he (Flacco) is flawless. Wrong!

Flacco struggled today but, not only him...the entire offensive production was pure garbage! they did absolutely nothing to help the defense out but this is how they have been performing the entire season. well, the regular season for the Ravens is over and now the playoffs begin. once again....the Ravens are a WildCard team and must hit the road throughout the playoffs.

the scenario now? ONE & DONE!!
You know the chiefs got rocked by the raiders today right?

We had nothing to play for in the second half, when you have nothing to play for games like this happen. Those Bengals beat a good chargers team last week. And its really hard to move the ball with Oher out and Cousins in. With Oher out, our line goes from average to among the league worst.

This game was a good example of why Cam needs to be fired.

All of Joes throws were averaging 5 yards. I think Cam was afraid of Joe being intercepted like the last game.
The play calling was horrible.

Joe got beat up today. Cam should have helped him out by calling quick pass plays.

Cam needs a bigger playbook because I keep seeing the same plays over and over again. I am sure defenses see the same thing.

It's become obvious to me that not many of those plays are in his playbook.

Don't throw the attempts statistic at me, please. Brady was 10/16 today for 199 yards and 2 TDs, so a lack of attempts doesn't mean you can't have success.

Brady is also one of the best QBs in league history, has one of the best o-lines in the league and played against the mostly talentless Dolphins defense.

Joe is still learning as a QB, is playing behind an inconsistent-at-best o-line and going against a talented Bengals defense, including two very good CBs.

You're right, they aren't there. I don't think we have one single "blitz beater" in our playbook otherwise we'd have used it by now... theoretically.

I wouldn't say they're "talented" so much as we're just inept. They're ranked 20th for a reason...

no offence to the open poster. but thats probably the stupidest thing ive read on this board. i understand why you would post it. but your talking bout starting a back up who has not taken a snap all year in a PLAYOFF game against the colts....... even u have to admit thats a really bad idea.
The Ravens were inept offensively today but the Bengals defense is talented. Carlos Dunlap had 8 sacks in his last 7 games coming into today. Michael Johnson has been known a talented underachiever going back to his time at Georgia Tech. Geno Atkins is a good pass rusher. Keith Rivers and Maualuga are first round picks. Reggie Nelson, while a bust in Jacksonville, still has ability. As for their CBs, Hall is their best one in my opinion but regardless, Joseph did play today. He had three tackles.

You're right, I guess we just didn't go in that direction.... sign of a good corner, no?

Anyway, the fact is, Joe has struggled against Indy, especially IN Indy, so the fact it looks like we're going to be playing KC is HUGE.

Other than the deep ball to Dickson that Hall broke up beautifully, I don't remember them testing him much. Two comebacks to Mason with Joseph covering him, I don't remember them going at him much either.

Agreed on your second point.

I've seen some rediculous topics this season but this...

Generally, people don't broadcast their worst brain farts on the internet.

I remember taking some flack (geddit?) earlier in the season (from week 1 on...) for ripping into Cam, calling him one of the worst playcallers in the NFL and that he had to go. His playbook must consist of crayon pictures of either: a stick figure Ray Rice with the ball in his hands or a stick figure of Flacco with the ball in his hands waving towards the sideline whilst getting killed.

I'd send him a playbook off Madden, but I don't think he'd be capable of grasping it.

OK, who guided the Ravens to a great 12-4 record in one of the most competitive divisions in the conference? We can beat the Colts. They haven't impressed me at all this year.

I wasn't comparing him to Brady per se, my point was that a lack of attempts doesn't necessarily mean no production.... it just so happens that Brady only threw it 16 times today. For Joe, his lack of attempts today produced nothing, whereas Brady's produced 2 TDs and almost 200 yards. That's all I was saying.

Just throw Cam an Xbox controller and have him press A , B , Y, X to select plays.

After all, playcalling isn't harder than that. Right?

Flacco did play like garbage today. I think its just a Bengals thing though. Luckily they wont be in the Playoffs! He needs to not hold onto the ball for so long...its driving me nuts

This kid cant do ANYTHING against a cover 2. Ravens have to seriously consider this
Ummm, <deleted> Joe hasn't been doing much throwing over the past 3 games, its the gameplan not that he cant get it done. the Ravens want to run it....start Bulger?

I can't believe you call yourself a fan...which comments like those its no wonder the Baltimore sports fans and their teams aren't taken seriously.

How did he play like garbage? He had one bad throw and that was on the limited amount they allowed him to throw. He had a 73.7% completion percentage and 6.6 yards per average....1 throw he was late on and you consider that garbage..

There are a lot of fans that think they know something but really don't

Well if you think playing the QB role is all about throwing passes and completion percentage, sounds like you are one of those fans who doesn't know what they are talking about.

Im talking about the sacks he took. I seriously cant stand here and say that it was all the offensive lines fault. He was holding on to the ball forever.

Im sick of hearing fans bash this team for any little thing. I think the problem is the casual idiots see the patriots and eagles blow teams doors off week after week and think thats how you do it, well guess what not every team plays like that. We are not the kind of team this year that will out score you, we are in the mentality of win no matter what. Guys like ray, mason, reed and others in there older years just want to win the big one and retire. The "identity" of this team this year is simply win. Flacco isnt getting benched for bulger and this team isnt changing so ethier get on board for our 3rd playoff run or go pound sand.

Although it is a ludicrous idea, the point to be made is he truly does struggle against the cover 2. In year 3 and now having played the Bengals 6 times he should be able to move the ball.
...hmmm, good point, I guess they should have done the same thing with Peyton Manning too, because you know the Patriots seemed to have his numbers for a number of years. Yeah, good call....

I'm not denying he appeared to hold onto the ball too long at times but how often were there WR open or even worth throwing the ball to? McBoller said on two occasions Q was open across the middle but Joe didn't see him and ended up taking sacks.

Still, on one particular third down for example, Mason was the only WR that ran a route and Boldin was in pass protection. Other times, I could have sworn Cam had the WRs all run fly routes which to me, is just dumb.

The sacks? Some can be his fault for holding the ball too long but it's the o-line's job too block protect so Joe isn't back there tying to scramble for his life, instead what he should be doing is scanning down the field for open receivers.

The entire offense needs to call a meeting with Cameron and tell them what is up. His play calling is getting worse and worse....he seemed to do much better with less. Like last year when it was just Rice and Mason.

I think people are just frustrated with all the moves we made on offense and nothing has really changed. I mean its frustrating. Boldin, Mason, Housh, and Stallworth? Find me a team with a better WR Corps. Then we have Heap and 3 pro bowl runnings backs? Sorry that you are all rah rah lets go team no matter what, when some of us are just a little disappointed in the way our offense cant keep our defense off the field. I'm a fan and I pay money to go to these games. This is a discussion board. While this guy saying Bench Flacco For Bulger doesn't speak for all of us, we can all agree that something isn't clicking on the offense and it could potentially be our down fall in the post season. It's just a concern.

While I don't agree with Bulger starting, I was pretty shocked he didn't get any reps today....
