I came across this story this morning and thought I would share it with you if you haven't already seen it. To me, it's the best story to be written from the Baltimore Sun.

Kevin Van Valkenberg is one of my favorite journalists, period. Not only is he the best writer on the Baltimore Sun sports staff, but he's probably one of the best I've read in the past decade. I would love for him to be a columnist, not just a beat writer or weekly commentator.

I like Terrell's quote about having to sleep in a hotel room in that "you adapt and overcome". I bet when he wakes up and wins the game on the same day he considers himself 2-0.

Awesome article! Thanks for providing the link for the rest of us. Especially for those of us that no longer live in Baltimore and so many times miss such local articles. :)

If you enjoyed this article, Kevin Van Valkenburg does his weekly Five Things We Learned feature for the Baltimore Sun on their Ravens Insider blog. Easily the most insightful read of each week. He also hosts a live chat during each game.

Here's his recap of last week's Ravens-Browns game. (LINK)

This man has a talent with words. The amount of things I could picture in my mind...great article. And articles that really humanize the players are always good in my book.

I absolutely love Kevin's "5 Things We Learned" feature. It's usually the last game analysis page I read because I know it'll not only put the game in perspective but highlight the elements to take note of.

Yanda, a 315-pound guard who has been the Ravens' best lineman this year, eats like a death row inmate granted his last meal. He'll start with pancakes, follow that with a huge helping of hash browns, then polish off a small steak. Strawberries and melon are next, and he washes the meal down with at least two glasses of orange juice. Kickoff is four hours away.
What a beast!

Great article
