Congratulations to Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Haloti Ngata and Billy Cundiff for making the 2011 Pro Bowl Roster.

I'm sure many of us voted for our beloved players. All we can do now is discuss any surprise selections or snubs. Anyone care to state their opinion?

Suggs also made the list as an alternate.

To be honest, I'm surprised Rice didn't make the list being he has 1700 receiving and rushing yards.

Devin McCourty surprises me, he played well for a rookie, but the pro bowl? Patriot favouritism strikes again IMO.

I felt the same way. With all of the talented CBs in the AFC, I didn't feel that he did enough to earn a spot.

What corner should of gone in his place? The guy led his team with interceptions and Passes defended.

I am upset Sam Koch didn't make it.

Ok, who do you take out for Rice to go to the pro bowl?

yeah, if any rookie CB was going to make i'd have thought Joe Haden.

suprised the panthers managed to get a guy in there but fair play to Gross

Jeez, what the heck does Koch have to do to go to a Pro Bowl..make every single punt land inside the ten?

Jones-Drew. Rice had more total yards than him and killed him stats wise in comparison to being a dual threat.

I'd give good ol' CHamp another nod to the pro bowl, still 90% of a shut down corner at his age, on a sub par defence.

Phillip Rivers of the playoff-less Chargers and overrated Manning with his 17 interceptions making it over Flacco and Cassel is a joke.

I just looked at the stats. MJD had more 100 yard games and more touch downs. And he pretty much carried that team. I wasn't impressed with Rice this year compared to the Pro bowl year he had last year.

Jamaal Charles and Arian Foster deserve those 2 spots.

I have to disagree with Matt Ryan over AR. Come on now, and if it wasn't such a popularity contest, Flacco should have made it over Manning with the success of his team and his higher passer rating and less INTs. But congrats to Jamaal Charles, finally being noticed, as well to Cundiff. I'm proud of you man

Champ Bailey. I haven't paid attention to him much this year, but with how he blanked/blanketed Bowe after his amazing stretch, I figure he was solid throughout the Season.

Also, remember- this list isn't technically FINAL. Some of these players will end up in the Superbowl, freeing up spots.

No it's not. Well maybe with Manning but Phillip Rivers was the only reason they won any games. He had games without starting receivers, starting tight end and an unsteady running game and still put up better numbers than Joe or Cassel. I will say Im pissed Peyton made it and Joe should of went in his place, but Rivers deserves to be in there and you are crazy if you think otherwise. This is the pro bowl not the playoffs, its about individual performances being awarded.

Also, if any rookie CB should have made it, its McCourty. He has been playing lights out. Especially considering his teams pass-rush.

I would of personally taken Revis out of it. He wasn't as impressive this year. Glad we passed on McCourty lol :(

indeed McCourty was certainly duking it out with Haden for best rookie corner, would have liked to see Haden get some more play time, but oh well. Kyle Wilson has not impressed me thus far, but perhaps next year after another year in the play book

The Flacco/Ryan debate is now basically impossible now that Ryan made the pro-bowl. Even though he shouldn't have gotten the nod over Rogers....

Can you believe some fans wanted to keep Shayne Graham over Billy Cundiff? I remember how adamantly they were against Billy because Graham is the '3rd most accurate kicker' B.S.

Wonder where Graham is now...lol

Some players will also forfeit their spots due to injury or just decline their invitations altogether; those who take their place are still considered Pro Bowlers, unless they also decline as well.

vonta leach over le'ron is a suprise too
[/quote]

Leach paved the way for a Houston run offense that averaged 4.7 yards a carry and was a big reason for Foster going off. I thought Leach had a great year and deserved it.

Little shocked Grubbs didnt make it.
