I feel like every team in the league knows that if Stallworth is in, he's going deep. Tis a shame...
It's just dumb in my opinion.

couldn't agree more. yeah he's the guy who is most likely to stretch the field but it doesn't work if everyone knows thats what they're doing. all it takes is for him to run a few other routes and going deep is more successful.

also i'd like to see the TEs continue to get involved in the passing game

It's really as simple and as stupid as saying let our playmakers make plays.
Focus on the team aspect.
Joe is young, and came from a small school, but let him loose.
If he fails, then you know what to fix next season.
Our offense is flooded with playmakers, allow them to play the game.
Let Housh make a great move on a DB to make a great catch, let Mason run an amazing route and make a play, throw the ball to Boldin and let him physically beat his man to the ball.
Use Stallworth's speed down the field.
Give the ball to Rice, and design runs that benefit his style of running, not just power up the middle, leave that to McClain, and please give him the ball more on those types of downs, same goes with McGahee, balance the run attack as not to wear out Rice, or make it too predictable.

Our defense is starting to wake up, even though a few key positions are bothered by age.
Don't just wait until we have a lead to rush the passer.
Rush more often, but keep the coverage tight.
That of course may not work so well against the QB's we are to face in the playoffs, but at the same time, when you don't rush, you tend to allow an elite QB to sit in the pocket and pick apart our DB's which is an issue.
If you give an elite QB less time to sit in the pocket and evaluate what is going on, it is less likely they will beat our DB's, even though they are playing better.
And honestly I want to say, if you can hit the QB, hit him, don't worry about a fine, we'll find a way to pay it for you.
If an elite Qb can beat a blitz, it's usually not going for a 50 yard TD, rather a short pass especially with Reed in the backfield.

We need to convert on third down, and also to stop the other team on third down, that has been an issue all season. It's almost a sure thing that the other team will convert on third down. That may not be factually true, but it always feels that way.
And please, find a legit long snapper in place of Cox, that is a huge blow to the team, bigger than most fans may think or that may be talked about in the media.

Could not agree more with your comments regarding the offense. Why in the world did we sign the playmakers if we are not going to allow them to make plays??? Sometimes I think that Cam does not have the correct play calls to actually put our players in a position to execute. Our offense seems very vanilla compared to other teams, i.e. Pats, Colts, Falcons etc. Maybe Cam is holding some plays for the playoff games, God that would be great if he came out slinging the ball to Q and Stallworth. We shall see

Yeah about the offense. Watching Aaron Rodgers against the Giants gave me an even better look at how basic and simple our offense is compared to good ones in the league.

Idk any other team in the league that doesn't allow the QB to change plays at the line or use audibiles. That will help Flacco quicken the pace of the game and go into the no huddle that he does well in. Watching the offense, it looks like were just plain slower and less athletic at the QB and WR positions, which is probably true as Joes dropbacks, PA fake and release all take pretty long. And it seems like the receivers aren't getting open, watching Joe stand back there all day but end up checking it down for no gain.

But you're completely right. The comeback route throws are the only ones that work consistently. Other teams also have quick slants, more crossing routes etc...

Perphaps Joes knowledge of football and reading defenses is low for an NFL QB. Idk, that's speculation. But regardless, Cam doesn't do so many things that need to be done in order for this passing game to reach the top and carry us against ANYONE when asked to.

You're so right. We've got to implement more of the quick slant out of the shotgun or 1-2 step drop. Teams are blitzing with their safeties since they see we have trouble with it. The quick slant, with our receivers, could be GOLDEN. Joe has the height to see over the line and get the ball out quick. Housh, Q, and Mason are tough enough to get it done in the middle. It would cover up our O line's troubles with the outside blitz. Not to mention the fact that we haven't really used the slant all year, and it's great in bad weather. I'd love to shock teams in the playoffs with a quick pass game when needed. Can't wait for the dance!!! Go Ravens!!!

everyone knows we have a run game. set it up early and use some playaction and set up some deep balls to the WR. everyone we play in the playoff knows rice is are strong point on offence and will try to shut him down. get him going and spread it out more than we do now.

We can beat any team in the league, honestly. We've shown that. Just play mistake-free and finish games.

I've actually wondered the same, and tons of people came down on me.
I'm talking about wondering if Cam is actually holding back to some degree, and keeping certain aspects of our game plans unseen, and keeping certain players well rested and healthy.
I just don't see Cam being a complete idiot.
I don't always see what I'd like to see and that leads me to question if he is keeping somethings in his back pocket, and only letting some of it out if needed, as in when we're losing. However, we shouldn't have lost to the Steelers if that was the case.

It sounds like a conspiracy theory, and one based on hope instead of fear and dread, but who knows?
I kinda doubt it, but we can hope can't we?

All we need to do is play exactly like we did in the Saints game and we could go all the way.
Truth this. And I don't mean commit to the run. Just play with that energy and dominance. Control the line, protect Joe, pressure the opposing QB. We play like we played the Saints it won't matter who or where we play, we'll win.

Or, how about using his speed near the line of scrimmage on screens, slants, drags and crossing routes like every other team in the league does?

It's really amazing that an OC with Cam's experience can only draw up fly routes to get Stallworth involved.

How could I forget?

I love how we haven't seen that play since the Steelers game.
