Falcons Wr's Pass Interference

7 posts in this topic

I'm watching the Saints/Falcons game at it seems like these Falcons WRs are always pushing off or trying something to get separation. Roddy White did the same thing to us earlier this year and Wilson fell down and there was no call. Tonight he did the same thing and they finally made the call. Just now their other receiver did the same thing and got called for it.

Do the coaches teach their WRs to do this in Atlanta? It's like a move they practice all the time and they full it off more times than not.

Roddy White is a repeat offender and to me that's a cheap way to play.

Players try to push off to get separation all the time. This is nothing new. It's just more noticeable to us because it was a push-off that essentially cost our Ravens a game.

Most receivers in the NFL do it, all of the good receivers in the NFL do it. Most of the time, you don't see it or it's so subtle that it goes unnoticed by the referees. You'd think White, being a veteran and one of the best in the league, would be better at masking it.

The best ones know how to do it and not get called. Roddy White case in point.

He got caught tonight....and I still don't know how it wasn't called against him in the Ravens game. It was blatantly obvious...I swear we get all the blind refs, if you see them come to the stadium before the game they are using freaking walking sticks!! and seeing eye dogs!!

They lost to the Saints, and we lost to them?

They gave back the ball to Drew at 2:46 on 4th and 6. I think they should go for it because giving ball back to him when you're down by a FG is just bad decision. Drew will move the ball 40yrd easily by the way that he's aggressive all night. Moreover, the Falcons all of the sudden stopped blitzing 5-6 man which created more time for Drew to accurately throw screen or slant pass.

I think watching these kind of game is a good lesson for Ravens' future reference.

PS: When playing against a high octain passing attack team, you got to be aggressive on blitz from beginning to the end. Our 4 man rush are not actually blitz but enough to create good pressure to QB: SS or CB blitz in the mix is nice to throw in.
