Looking back, I find it ironic that people were willing to ignore Brandon Marshall's long list of problems(including a count of DUI) and hoped the team traded for him during the off-season but are now crucifying Kindle for his second DUI. I'm not diminishing Kindle's actions but Chris McAlister supposedly had a drinking problem as well but was still able to put together a relatively successful career. I think Kindle can do the same, assuming the Ravens even re-sign him.

That's exactly the problem I had with Marshall, his off-field stupidity.

Kindle's shown signs of that, already. Chances are, he may never play a down in the NFL and this doesn't help. I'm hoping he does, hoping he can fulfill his dream and contribute but I'm not counting on it.

Anything from here on out is a bonus. He's an extremely low-risk investment, IMO.

If he could add to our teams getting better,we are willing to overlook his unethical lifestyle....
Lets say he played for the steelers and all this same stuff happened....well he would be on everyones bad list, because he has nothing to offer us.....Buuuuuuut being he does you are willing to turn a blind eye?????????
This is whats wrong with the world as we know it....its the softer ,kinder, more gentler new world.......
The dude was walkin on eggshells after the stupidity of falling down steps, and now he gets a DUI.......
Mistakes my <butt> ....he has a higher image to uphold as well as the NFL does at cleaning up the league.....
I say bust........lets move on.......

Marshall is a complete idiot and McAlister had issues too. But they were also pro bowlers and respected players at their positions on the field.

But than there is the Blount and Mike Williams aspect. These guys both have trouble in college off the field and ended up being gems for the Bucs.

Let's see what he has in the offseason but if he ends up being a bubble player, this will definitely push him off the roster. I would still say draft an OLB and DE this year.

Marshall has had problems dating back to his time at Central Florida.

Assuming the Ravens re-sign Kindle, I highly doubt he'd be a bubble player. The team hasn't drafted too many LBs more talented than him in their history.

At this point, a rush LB is almost a guarantee.I'm hoping the team drafts a DE but they may not due to the presence of Redding, Kruger and Jones. Still, considering Redding is the best pass rusher amongst the group, they definitely need one.

Yeah, if Kindle can play, there's no way he doesn't make the roster unless he just completely blows it, which isn't likely considering all he's been doing is studying the playbook/film.

The difference between Marshall and Kindle is that Marshall was a Pro Bowl WR, whereas Kindle hasn't played a down yet, so we were quicker to forget his past in the hopes of a very bright future. The same can't be said for Kindle with his skull fracture and uncertainty as to whether or not he'll ever be able to play.

Ozzie definitely needs to draft a Rush OLB or DE this year.

I might be wrong on this but Bisciotti said something when we signed Donte Stallworth. He said something along the lines of everybody makes mistakes, and Donte, Ray, and Jamal made some, but they werent repeat offenders. Kindle IS a repeat offender. I'm not entirely sure on what he said exactly, but I remember him saying something like that.

In short, I'm not too keen on Kindle's future, as our owner has forgiven mistakes, but not repeat offenders.

You know what Roger Goodell says "Its a privilege to play in the NFL and players should have to act professional"

Kindle shouldn't have even been allowed to enter this situation; the DUI/DWI laws in this country are a joke.

Time to move Kruger back to OLB because we know Harbs is high on high character players and this just seems it will put Kindle in Harbs dog house.

He's gonna be in the double dog house.

Why did we sign you? Man you have been given an opportunity to take over one of the best defenses in the league. Sergio im disappointed, but i wont condemn you like everyone else. Get you life in order, and watch who you are hanging around.... ps. Ill drive you where you need to go, just let me know in advance.

Can I add another facepalm?

Hopefully he'll learn from his mistakes and not do it again. By driving drunk he's not only endangering himself and his career, but he's also endangering others. I think he knows that now...

This guy doesn't deserve to ever wear a Ravens jersey.

Everyone makes mistakes and he's made a lot, and he at least acknowledges that and says he wants to make changes. If he's admitting all of that and that he wants to change, he deserves another chance. Most likely, he's learned from his mistakes by now.

I Know people can change they just need to realize what they have and could or sometime have lost. This guy needs to pick himself up and start making right choices. I love when pro athletes take advantage of what they get to do for a career and get all that money and miss up like this.

Talking is one thing, taking action is another. I'm not going to believe his words because the only way I can "hear" them is through the media. The only people he can truly convince are the coaches, and even then, they want to see action more than promises (but it may be too late). The statement that action speaks louder than words cannot ring any truer when talking about Kindle.

And when you say "most likely", you're talking about probability. Where is probability established from? In this case, history. Does history really tell you he will learn from his mistakes? I think you're saying that out of hope rather than objectivity.

I am because he's a good player no matter what he's done. His actions off the field can't change what he's done on the field and I really hope he stays as a Raven. I know a lot of fans may not want him, but you've got to face the facts- he's a pretty good football player. I'm not saying we NEED him right now, but we could use him.

This could be a wake up call for this man. He now has had 2 incidents with alcohol that have had very negative consequences. He is a very good football player and has every tool necessary to excel at this level, its just a question of whether or not he wants to grow up and continue playing football
