Guess What Didn't Happen Today?!?!?

Michael Oher didn't have a false start penalty, in fact the Ravens only committed 1 penalty the entire game according to ESPN stats....

Congrats Oher!!! It's about time!

I have learned something about Michael Oher. If he sets his mind to do something, he'll do it. If he doesn't want to or doesn't try to do something, he'll end up failing at it. This is a good talent to have (discipline), and it seems he has it in complete control. Just look at his grades while in school BEFORE actually wanting to do good, then look at them AFTER he wanted to do good. Very good young man too, I might add

Those laps that Harbs was threatening must have done the trick!

But seriously, good performance from the OL and Oher in particular today. I like Oher a lot, especially since watching The Blindside.

There was also no sacks today on Joe.

yeah, actually there was the one where he fumbled it out of bounds that I believe was Haden.

I wonder what parry's crew is like as far as penalties go. There wre almost no penalties for either team until the very end for cleveland.

Yeah, that was his own fault. Boneheaded play.

We also didn't NOT score in the second half! The first time since Atlanta. ^_^
Yes, I should have included that as well....what a relief that was, that is not a stat I want associated with the Ravens.

Hey, just a thought for anyone to answer......in theory, do we actually have a chance at hosting the AFC Championship game? If so, given the playoff started next week, what would have to be done for that to happen?

I think Oher not commiting penalties had something to do with his mom coming onto the field and instructing him on on how "not to hurt his family" with penalties. You know kind of like the movie Blind Side?

Assuming Pittsburg wins the division, both the Ravens and the Jets would have to win through the divisional round. In that case, we are the 5 seed, and the Jets are the 6 seed, so we would host it.

.....and in a topic-related note, my father and I were thinking the exact same thing. This win wasn't as ugly as some people have been making it out to be.

Good for Oher (and the team) for remedying it. I still want to see him not do it against elite pass rushers though, and be confident in his ability to not take the risk.

Did Josh Wilson really blow up Joe Thomas or do my eyes deceive me?!

I saw that play and even though it looked like Josh Wilson, I made myself believe it was a LB. Seeing that gif now though...wow.

haha isn't it nuts. It is probably the lowest point in Thomas' career, and there aren't many of them. If I don't see this on ESPN, I will be shocked, because it trumps MJD - Merriman hands down.

MJD cracking Merriman is funnier but this is just more awesome.

That hit by Wilson pretty much sums up what it means to be a Raven vs what it means to be a Brown.

Also, I'm still riding the Oher is very fast off the line.
Sometimes he might jump off, by very little, and I don't think enough that the human eye can catch it. You might be able to tell in a slo-mo replay, but the officials don't see that at game speed, it's impossible.
Opposing teams send in tape of him allegedly jumping offsides, when they know it's a threat how explosive he is off the line.
I still believe that is the case most of the time.
I've also noticed since they changed the position of the ref, they miss a lot of defensive offsides, it's so bad sometimes it's as if that penalty no longer exists.
I'm not a homer on this, I've noticed it with the Ravens and opposing teams, as well as games that have nothing to do with the Ravens.

That play is awesome, I missed it during the game but seeing it now...Wow, Josh Wilson has really picked his game up in recent weeks. Another great move by the Ozz man

Don't know but they will probably be the crew for the Superbowl since they are calling nothing. If you don't call anything, you can't get negative points right? lol
