Although what you said is very true, I'm not sure how it correlates as a reply to my prior post.

It didn't have total relevance to what you are saying. I just hinted the fact that the Colts may not cross our path this year. We will still have an equally strong opponent to go tooth and nail against in the playoffs..

I've told a number of people this year that the three most important game of the year are; Ravens-Steelers,Steelers-Ravens And the Superbowl. (Throw in another if they meet in a playoff game to make four.)

Why would it be the Jets? This isn't the 60's. As for the Browns, they got over it. they kept the records and championships and got a new team like 2 years after we left.

Steelers and Colts are our "rivals". But since we never beat the colts, its not much of a rivalry on their part.

I wouldn't call it a rivalry with us and the Colts. They don't hate us NEARLY as much as we hate them, if at all. Plus they own us.

I wouldn't call it a rivalry with the Jets either. This one has very little history, given that Rex has only gone up against us one time.

But the Browns hate us, no question about that. I know for a fact that some of their fans are still bitter towards us despite it being almost 15 years since the old Browns became the Ravens. Plus me personally, I don't HATE the Browns very much, but I certainly look forward to playing them every time we do. And not for nothing, we saw Vickors and Lewis going at it before kickoff, which tells you something about divisional opponents.

Plus I think you're forgetting the Bengals and Pats. The Bengals are in our division, plus Joe and the offense has struggled against them in recent matchups. But the Pats is another story. Almost all of us hate the Patriots given all these disappointing and heartbreaking losses against them in recent years and us blowing them out in the playoffs a year ago. There's history, and it's a players rivalry as well. There was all the contoversy with Suggs "roughing the passer" penalty, and I remember in the fourth quarter of this one, him and Brady were screaming in each others faces after a pretty similar play in this past game (another painful loss).

Did you miss the entirety of 2009? We played him that year, too.

Ravens vs. Steelers is definitely a big deal. It's a divisional rivalry, we play them twice a year, and it's always a tight game. Over the past three years our games with them have all had huge implications for the division championship. There aren't many rivalries in the NFL that are bigger or better.

The only one that compares for me is games when we play the Colts, and that's mostly because I'm out here in Indy and get a lot of crap from my friends whenever they play.

If we can some how pull off a miracle win over the Colts man that would something else.
Our Defense always gets nervous when we play them. Sort of like when the Colts play the Bolts...

Bears just beat the Jets. I hope that loosened up there morale a bit. If the 2 wild-card teams played it would be us and the Jets, just like old times...

Maybe he's referring to the Baltimore Colts / New York Jets games of old? But, really, who knows?

They still made the playoffs, regardless of the loss, so I'd imagine their morale is still pretty high. However, that defense is looking shaky. Teams are straight up exploiting their CBs not named Cromartie/Revis, and even sometimes Cromartie gets beat pretty good. I for one think he is pretty overrated and seem to me supported by the multitude of Charger fans around who had to deal with his antics.

Did the 2 wild-card teams play each other in the first round last year? Do they do the same this year?

No that's never the case. However, last year both wild card teams won their matchups against the 3 and 4 seeds.
