Here is an opinion poll about the most emotional game the Ravens could possibly play. Everybody knows; that football ran through the city of Baltimore long before Art Modell brought the the newly formed Ravens to this city. Ravens and the fans have bad blood with at-least 3 teams if not more. What team is the most significant opponent for the Ravens?

Why would it be the Jets? This isn't the 60's. As for the Browns, they got over it. they kept the records and championships and got a new team like 2 years after we left.

Steelers and Colts are our "rivals". But since we never beat the colts, its not much of a rivalry on their part.

What is wrong with some people? Neg'n him seems like a hobby now rather than a tool for criticism. +1 for you bud.

Hm, well let's see. People seem to dislike Rex now that he's with the Jets, and with all the smack talk it could easily build into a rivalry over the years. I think it would be built by the fans though, because the players/coaches seem to respect Rex regardless of what he does, because they know him on a personal level; but with more fresh faces in the future, that could change.

HAHA. Browns getting over a stolen team? PRICELESS joke. Every time Ravens and Browns fans get into an argument about anything, it always ends up being about how Baltimore "stole" their team. I mean, look at us! Whenever the Colts come to play us at home the board never says Colts, it says Indi. If that isn't a passive aggressive attitude toward them, I'm not sure what is. The current Browns fans will never get over it, and neither will we until it finally dies away when future generations fill the ranks as fans; and even then, the dislike of what happened could be passed from parent to child.

I think we're actually missing one team; the Patriots. But I think that may be more of a dislike of Brady from our players...or just Suggs ^_^

Emo Game? Isn't that the internet game where you play as Bright Eyes and other indie bands to save the Get Up Kids from being "violated" by Aerosmith? Haha, sorry but that's what I thought when I saw the title. Guess I need to go put on my black rim glasses and cardigan and listen to depressing music!

In all seriousness, I voted for Ravens-Steelers, not really much of a contest there.

I'm going to be honest, when I saw Rex on the other side of the field opening game it gave me a shock!
Did you miss the entirety of 2009? We played him that year, too.

How? He's been the Jets head coach for two seasons now.

I don't think I caught the 2009 game! We need to beat the colts either in the playoff's or a regular season game. The need to hammer a nail that I don't think we have ever hammered McNair (rip) couldn't get it done. No QB in a Raven uniform has given this city the rest assure that the team that we have right now, is better then the team that left us...

What "2009 game"? The Ravens never played the Jets in '09. Did you not watch a single Jets game in '09?

Oh, the pre-season game(forgot about that). Still, I don't understand how seeing Rex with the Jets in the opener this season would give anyone a shock. I'm done.

Where do you live at? You think Cleveland and the true Browns fans have gotten over their move? You have no clue then, they have not gotten over anything yet. Don't believe any hype of what sports casters or writers might have to say, you can trust and believe they have not gotten over anything. I have family in Cleveland and you can firmly believe that it's a toss up between us and Pittsburgh on who they would rather fry on a weekly basis, and I would say we would rank real close to being the winners for that party. Now not saying that we would consider them a true rival, but in their eyes we are toast wether we're playing each other or not.

IMO I voted for the Colts, it was a toss up between them and the Steelers. But hey I watched the TRUE Colts for many years, so I will always have a a little hate for them, more than the Steelers. Kids that didn't grow up watching the Baltimore Colts wont know what that means or can apprecitate it like someone who watched them for many of years here in Baltimore!

The team that we have right now is way better than the team that left us. The team that left us didn't have Unitas under center, and imo that team will forever be the true Colts. Call it what you want but when you grew up watching greatness and once again imo the greatest qb to ever play the game, you kind of take it for granted I guess. Then again we all know what the true Colts did and where they did it. You can't take away that they won two NFL championships (1958/1959) and one super bowl (1970)while they were here in our city. Sorry but in my eyes if Johnny Unitas is a "supposed" Indy Colt, then Jim Brown is a Baltimore Raven!!!!!

As far as the fans go, and at the stadium, its obviously the Steelers. Never have I ever seen the city, the fans, and the entire NFL fired up for any Ravens game except when we play Pittsburgh. If we could beat Indy, then maybe they would be up there but I am always afraid we will loose that game, not much of an emotion :229031_rofl:

I really wish he had said "emotional", not "emo". Because now I have the mental image of Reed crying while in the fetal position, Flacco (with guy-liner and black hair) weeping while embracing Ray Rice, and Lewis and Suggs fighting over the razor blades.

How dare you give me such a blasphemous mental image.

This team hurts like a bad itch that doesn't go away. They are either in-front of you in terms of season record, or right there neck and neck...

I would have to choose Ravens-Steelers, mostly because these two sides have no love lost for each other. These two teams come at each other with one thing in mind - winning, primarily with what could only be called heavy hitting and ground gaining football.

EXACTLY the same image!!!! Hahaha for some reason he seems to be the first candidate to apply the emo-ness to.

In response to the OP question, it's no question that it's the Steelers. Colts really aren't a rival as much as they are a thorn in our side.

They need to get over it. They were without a team for 2 years. We don't look at them as a serious rival.

I guess its how we look at the Colts. We hate them and they really dont have beef with us.

Yeah they do need to get over it. But look at it in this aspect, the Browns won what a gazillion NFL championships. Now in the super bowl era they have nothing to show for, and that's been a long time running. So for them to be so dominant in the non super bowl era, then to come up so short and have never won a super bowl. Art moves the "original Browns" to Baltimore and what 4/5 years later they won a super bowl here as the Ravens, but could never do in Cleveland for all those years in the super bowl era. So of course they will always be bitter toward Art and the city of Baltimore, for what was done in such short time here and never done in Cleveland.

I think for us and the "original Colts" we can still be bitter with that shifty move. But we can also be very proud that in the time Irsay moved the Baltimore Colts to Indy and all those years they were and still are there. We didn't have football and once we got a team back in Baltimore it (once again) only took us 4/5 years to win yet another super bowl for our city of Baltimore. All before the Colts even won one in Indy. Yeah that feels great to me.

That, I have to agree with. At least Art never did anything underhanded. The city of Cleveland knew he was leaving and he was classy enough to leave them their colors and history.

What still irks me about the Colts ownership is they still try to assume our history even today. When reference is made to players like Johnny U., it's never the Baltimore Colts prior to the move to Indy, it's always the Indy Colts when they played in Baltimore.
