Pro Bowl Tallies

22 posts in this topic

The Fan vote portion of the Pro Bowl has been tallied on NFL.com

I just wanted to bring this to our attention since we have been asking for it for a few years now.

Sam Koch is top for AFC punter! Hopefully the coaches and players give him his dues as well.

Good job Sam!

I think Suggs will get in, McClain will get in, and Im hoping that coaches/players are smarter than their fan bases and vote in Billy Cundiff.

I didn't expect Ray Rice to come close. Too much talent at the RB position this year, its a log jam. Flacco has a great argument to go to the pro bowl behind Brady and Rivers but you know people are going to put Peyton in there.....

I always like looking at these teams (I know they aren't yet final) and shuddering at the thought of how good they would actually be in the league.

There is an award, The USA Today's All-Joe Team for players who deserve recognition for their part in their team's success but don't make the Pro Bowl. Being as Joe got that last year, I expect he'll get it again.

Matt Ryan pro bowl votes? lmao He has like one more TD than Flacco and Flacco has been handcuffed with no audibles all season.

Our manic last-minute push to vote for Sam Koch paid off! He wasn't even leading at his position at the end of last week, just prior to the voting deadline on Monday. :)

They really shouldn't even let us fans vote for this kind of thing. I mean seriously, someone has voted 2 Green Bay offensive lineman in! Is that a joke?!

Yeah, I know; the casual fan really doesn't know any better. Besides, my last-minute rally to get Pro Bowl votes for our Ravens is a prime example of what usually happens: fans will vote for players from their favorite teams, regardless of whether or not they deserve it. I voted all-Ravens even though I don't think Jalen Parmele, Prescott Burgess, Dawan Landry, or Jameel McClain are really having Pro Bowl seasons.

Raiders fans must have been too busy enjoying the team's success this season to vote for their Kicker & Punter like they always do lol. About time Koch gets his due in terms of the Pro Bowl... but Josh Scobee? Darn our votes for not helping Cundiff!

You guys do realize that if Koch and Ngata go to the Pro Bowl that will only increase what they want in a contract. Anyone know what a Pro Bowl Punter would get or want in a contract?

Cundiff is actually 2nd in fan votes, according to Ravens PR manager Patrick Gleason, so not too shabby. (LINK)

Terrell Suggs and Michael Oher finished second at their respective positions, while Todd Heap and Le'Ron McClain finished third. (LINK)

not worried at all about Billy getting his recognition. I read an article not too long ago where Coach Rosburg was talking about lots of opposing coaches and special team players have talked to him about the great year Billy is having. We should be providing both special teams kickers for the AFC this year.

Suggs, Ngata, Ray Lewis, and possibly McClain are the only other 3 guys we have worthy of starting. Joe has been our MVP and is currently 6th in the league in active passer rating (Romo is actually 6th, Flacco 7th but I'm not counting Tony with him shelved for the year and only playing half a season) but there's no way he'll get voted in. He could wind up being an alternate though if the the past is any indication with other QBs dropping out or still looking for a Super Bowl berth (providing we aren't the ones looking for that berth, then I'll take Flacco in the SB over pro bowl any day).

Ditto. If McClain was going to the Probowl, rice would be going with him. He has really struggled this year paving the way for our backs.

Also, I didn't vote for Oher either. Just can't do it.

I find myself being honest as possible putting in the best at position(with the exception of Yanda, who I voted because he is having an amazing year at guard and tackle).

It sucks that a running back in the AFC is going to get left out. Charles, MJD, Johnson, Foster, Hillis. Just to name a few. Damn shame.

Agreed about McClain.

I like Oher but an o-lineman leading the league in penalties and false starts doesn't deserve any post-season honors.

I have a feeling Hillis and Charles won't make it.

Looks like the Ravens have the most players from the AFC with this vote.
I was completely zapped out after voting on Monday, like a million times.
It's a shame we don't have anyone on offense this year.

It's a crime to vote for anyone else but a Raven.
