Just kind of odd the team decides to get rid of him now and to promote Drew.

All I can say at least we dont have to waste a spot anymore for the coaches son. I wonder how old Greg is taking this?

The bigger story is the obvious uncertainty of when Heap will return. I'm glad Drew will finally be active after he showed up to camp overweight in 2009. He has decent size and is supposedly a good blocker too.

Apparantly another team was going to pick him up off the practice squad and the team didn't wanna lose him. According to Harbaugh it has nothing to do with Heaps injury and he hasn't ruled him out of the Browns game.

I'd prefer it if Stallworth was activated, the man has elite speed, we need to utilize him on 2nd/3rd and long more often.

Id prefer to have fresh defensive players so we arent getting gashed at the ensure of games like Houston

Bryan Mattison shouldn't have been on the team on the first place.

I would think he would be signed to PS if/after he clears waivers, he's played this
season and done well from what I recall.
Stallworth will prob be activated for the Browns game, if only for KO return help but
I also think he'll get some spots at WR also.

Yeah he is not very good. Still, doesn't this move leave us with only 2 backup offensive lineman? By my count we now only have Moll and Cousins.

I suppose the prospect of losing 3 lineman to injury in the same game is sorta like losing 2 Qb's, a long shot and not worth the roster space. We'll find out.
