Terrell Owens Out For The Remainder Of The Season

18 posts in this topic

The Cincinnati Bengals (both their website and official twitter) are reporting that T.O. apparently has a torn meniscus in his left knee and will be out for the rest of the season. How much that will affect our game against them in week 17 will remain to be seen, at very least it's one less person we need to account for on the field. I wouldn't even have bothered with this news, as there's only two games left in the season, if it weren't for the Baltimore/Cincinnati game during week 17.

That really sucks for T.O. Though I doubt a contender will do it, hopefully, some team takes a shot on him next season.

Guess the Ravens will see more Shipley and Gresham in two weeks.

wow! that is tuff for T.O. he has had a nice comeback season with the Bengals. hope he heals up!

now...as a Ravens fan?

T.O.'s absence is just one less person that we have to deal with offensively....but....if we are not careful...that game could very well be Ocho's big game due to the fact that he will be targeted more like he was prior to T.O.'s arrival!

I respect T.O. as a competitor for proving everyone wrong and having a great season with the Bengals.

However, I can't forget his past antics. I hope he heals 100% and has a great life, but I can't say I care to see him have another great season for the rest of his career.

Agreed and at his age it may be a bit hard to come back from.

How true, Franchise, there have been so many of T.O.'s antics which have caused uproar - including his time in Philadelphia, plus his tenure in Dallas.

I can only wonder how much more the league will accept from him.

There weren't any "antics" from him last season or this year.

My relatives who are Bills fans said they saw the makings of trouble until he banned himself from the media and took to Twitter instead. This year, I think Ocho Cinco kept him in check, but I wonder for how long; remember, there's always the first honeymoon year, then the pattern says the second year is when trouble really starts. If he's not with the Bengals next year, then no chance for the honeymoon to be spoiled.

The football gods are laying the red carpet for the Ravens.

I feel like it's been like that all year and the later part of the season it's really working in our favor. I mean Steelers without Troy, Steelers lose to the Jets, now TO is gone for the Bengals. Are the Browns not going to be without anyone for next week?

Yeah, if we're lucky, Peyton Hillis is out for some inexplicable reason, only to return the following week to trounce the Steelers. We'd also ideally like Colt McCoy to sit on the bench another week since he is their most dangerous active QB. We already know what Jake Delhomme is all about.

Its time for TO to retire
[/quote]

Not really; he's still a good WR.
