I guess I was referring more to our defensive gameplan against the Saints. A lot of the tactics we used on Brees would be equally effective on Colt McCoy.
True. Best of all, the Browns don't have nearly as many pass-catching weapons who can burn the defense.

I would love for the Panthers to beat the Steelers. Highly unlikely, but you never know
Hey nobody expected the Raiders to beat them last season, and it took a Stevie Johnson dropped TD for the Steelers to beat them. So yes anything could happen.

It'll be cold and snowy, the Panthers shouldn't have a chance, but with all the difficult situations we've had to deal with, from playing all those tough road games, to playing so many teams coming off their bye week, to playing all the playoff caliber teams in stadiums, we gotta catch a break at some point right? Why not now.

Eric Wright was placed on IR, who will Anquan Boldin burn, now?

Scott Fujita got put on IR, too. This potentially bodes well for our offense. I'm hoping for another good game from our OL, I want to have at least some confidence in them, going forward.

The Browns, as we saw earlier this year, are a good team. We all know what that OL and Peyton Hillis did to our defense. Colt McCoy is no chump, he gave the Steelers a run for their money. I wish the totally inept Jake Delhomme was taking snaps but, unfortunately, Mangini isn't that dumb.

*We could also be seeing our boy, Spiderman, this Sunday. He signed with the Browns about two months ago.

I would say Joe Haden but Q just hasn't been involved lately. If the running game is working, it's not that big a deal but it would still be nice to see a playmaker like him get more than ball or two thrown his way.

He was actually active for the first time last week.

I think Q will have a pretty big game Sunday. The Ravens will come out and continue to run the ball(hopefully well) and that will open up the play action.

Joe will have anywhere between 25-33 attempts and he'll probably complete about 70% of those passes. So there will be plenty of opportunities for the WRs.

If the run game is working as well as it did Sunday and the last time we played the Browns then it will be really tough for the Browns to double Q.

Sounds great but we'll see. I'm confident the running game will be effective but am not sure we'll see Joe passing much if that's the case. I hope I'm wrong though.

question is CAN we keep Hillis to less than 100 yards?
Who cares as long as it's less than 4 yards per carry. If he put up 100 yards on 30 carries I'd be pleased.

The yardage doesn't even matter; as long as Hillis stays out of the endzone, then half the battle is won. The other half is making sure that Colt McCoy doesn't decide to have a breakout game and score more touchdowns than we all anticipated.

The Ravens offense can play as flat and pedestrian as it wants in this game as long as the Browns' deceptively dangerous offense is kept out of the endzone.

Pretty much. I would like to see the offense not be flat, but as long as our defense plays a little stout and we score some points, we should be fine.

Yes it is all about the win this week. Win and we're in. So while I'd be overjoyed if they win big and pretty, ugly is fine.

I'd honestly just be satisfied if we showed up for 60 minutes once this year. =]
Join the Party, we have been waiting for the Ravens to show up for 60 minutes this year too.

While I am very confident that we will win our two remaining games, I dont think it will be a cake walk by any means. Browns & Cinci have nothing left to play for but pride and the opportunity to possibly knock us out of the playoffs. If we can shut down HIllis and Benson, we can then turn up the heat and make Palmer & McCoy miserable. We all know this team has the players to impose our will on these teams. Now we just need to do it. I will say this about the whole year. We havent loss by more than 5 points and we havent really blown anyone away. I have never been on the edge of my seat like this season at every game. It has been one hell of a ride.

Hopefully we'll have a better answer for Hillis. Ngata and Cody?? Ellerbe > McClain IMO (start him!!)
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Hillis took us by surprise the first time. Not to mention the team was still basically out of sync earlier in the season. It's on their turf and I'm sure they will be gunning to knock off the Ravens and Steelers to close the season. But hopefully we are wiser and better prepared than the first meeting.

I definitely think the Browns will be playing to win, especially if Mangini's job is on the line. While we are a more solid team than we were week three, we cannot take them lightly. We need to consider this a must win. If we win, we clinch the playoffs. Let's do this!

Ravens 27
Browns 14

My next door neighbor is a Browns fan, moved here from Cleveland, he's never happy. I keep telling him that if you convert to Purple and Black, you will be a winner! Still not happy.

any given Sunday...

we can never take any team for granted, and their fans still hate us for the Modell move, but if we can stay on a decent game plan (score TD's) that will make the difference.

just take it slow and put up the points - NO mistakes!
Go Ravens!!

Sounds like the carries are really taking their toll on Hillis. Link

28-7, Ravens.

Colt McCoy REALLY sounds like a made up name.
Isn't his actual name Dainel McCoy?

Anyway back to the game. The only way i see the Browns having a chance to being hang around in this game is for the Ravens to sleep on them, and with a playoff berth and possibly the North on the line i don't see that happening.

The Browns have given up at least 150 rushing yards in each of their last 2 games. So I expect our game plan to be run heavy again. Then take advantage of that defense with the play action.

I think the only thing that will stop the Ravens from having an offensive explosion in this game is the fact that it's supposed to snow. But then again, if the offense executes well, the snow won't matter.

I'm not really surprised; he hasn't been 100% for weeks now but that will happen with his style of running. I think the biggest difference is the <insert down> and short situations.. he can still get 3-4 yards a carry on average but the short yardage downs have been a killer for him lately.
