Good thing Hillis has been slowing the last four or five games and the Ravens' run D is improving.
That's true, but even so I bet the Ravens are making him their number one priority to stop in this game.

I don't know much about Cleveland's defense, however what I do know is that Boldin was unstoppable last time, so I imagine we'll see measurable success offensively.

Historically we've struggled in Cleveland, and they will always hate the Ravens and want to knock us out no matter what. This won't be easy, but it shouldn't be a nail-biter either. It's time for Q and Mason to get their grooves back.

Agreed. Not that he's an ace in the hole but Cody's presence should help as well.

Q had his biggest game of the season last time but all three TDs came against Eric Wright, who went down with a season-ending knee injury. On top of that, with how uninvolved Boldin has been in the offense so many games this season, especially last Monday against a week Texans secondary, I don't know what he'll do.

I put that on Cam not calling enough bubble screens and slants, Q's bread and butter. We also don't do enough routes that open up the middle of the field either; it always seems so congested.

Agreed. Cam is a good OC but I firmly believe he hasn't taken advantage of the WRs strengths this season, save Mason.

Very true. However I would be for giving him another season as our OC to see if this is just a slow adjustment to having so much to work with or he simply isn't cut out to take the offense any further. The only way you could justify firing him would be if there is a no brainer of a better coach out there.

While I said he should be let ago in the off-season a few weeks ago in anger, I'm going to wait on discussing what I'd like to see till after the play-offs.

He's made a lot of head-scratching moves this season but also deserves credit for orchestrating offensive outbursts and big drives too.

There is no way the Ravens can go from beating the defending Super Bowl champion, to having a not so impressive victory over the Browns.

I don't think this game has to be a blow out, but we definitely need to come out and play Ravens football. I honestly think the Ravens will get their first shutout on Sunday.

Now don't get me wrong, it won't be easy, but it's clear that the Ravens are the better team and I expect them to play like it.

If this defense plays the way it has for the last 5 games, yes the MNF game included, I just can't see the Browns having success moving the ball.

The oline should have a lot of confidence in the running game after that type of performance and if the Ravens wan to be the team that they believe they are, then that type of performance has to carry over into this week.

I said right after the Steelers game that i believed the Ravens would still win the division and obtain the #2 seed. I still feel that way and the Ravens should be feeling that way as well. So they absolutely can not have a let down.

An offensive collapse costing us a playoff game or the Superbowl would certainly be the end of him. Be it fired or killed, he's gone.

More consistency from the offense would go a long way to putting us back in his corner now though.

If the players execute at their fullest potential i can't see a scenario where the offense would collapse.

I actually think Cam will be back next year and the offense will be top 5-10.

Division games are always tough, and the Ravens sometimes play down to the level of their competition. It goes the other way as well, they play up to the level of their competition as well.

We are aware of Hillis now, so no way he runs all over us again. McCoy has shown he might be the Browns starter for the future but he is still a ROOKIE...and I expect Ed Reed to welcome him as such :)

Ravens should win...they should win out. 12-4 record

I want to see Hillis shut down this time, the Ravens aren't on pace to have less than 4.0 yards per carry against, which would be the first time the team hasn't done that in franchise history and would halt the streak of 14 seasons, 1 shy of tying the record.

Cleveland can keep this game very competitive. McCoy has played better than anyone could have asked and Hillis has been very productive all season long but in the end the Ravens simply have more talent. Divisional games = anything is possible but it will be very tough.
I have a question for you... do you think Eric Mangini should be fired at the end of the season if they don't win at least 1 game?

I personally think Mangini should be given more time and that right now you guys are missing talent at big positions, specifically WR and the defensive line. It will be a shame if Mangini does get fired because he is VERY under rated if you ask me, look at how well the he built up the Jets... and because the Jets didn't realize Favre was the problem Mangini took the fall. It seems again this year could be the same, Holmgren paid Delhomme a bunch of money and expected Mangini to win with him when it has been clear Delhomme is done and McCoy is the real deal, so Holmgren may see it as Mangini's fault that he couldn't win with Delhomme, and another QB on the downside of his career would have cost him his job.

actually the Ravens are on pace to hold opponents under that 4.0 ypc average for the season. We've given up 1311 yards on 327 carries, that's about 4.2ypc

The Ravens are giving up an average of 92.0ypg rushing and opponents are averaging 23.5 carries a game. So if the Ravens stay true to that over the next 2 games it will look like this.

92.0x2= 184+1311= 1495
23.5x2= 47+327= 347
1495/347= 3.9

So that would be 1495 total rushing yards allowed for the season. 347 total attempts, and d 3.9 yards per carry for the season.

With Hillis being the focal point this week i can't see the Browns rushing for 92 plus rushing yards.

Shut down Hillis and putting pressure on their QB.

I hope it is an easy win, but divisional game never gets easy.

Hillis "running wild" last time - well he did well in the 1st half, but we adjusted and he
literally did nothing in the 2d half. We have film on him and how they use him and we also
have film on McCoy, so we should have a plan on him too.
Cleveland are no walkovers and the weather could be a pain, but I also feel we should win
the game in Cleveland.
Glad you like CHester and Yanda on the right side, but Oher would miss Grubbs on the left
side.

Not taking anything away from Boldin at all because he is a hell of a WR.. however that game last time in Baltimore was Eric Wright's worst game as an NFL pro CB period; he even admitted it afterwards and everyone agreed. Wright isn't a pro-bowl CB but he is certainly much better than he was in that game. In the end however it doesn't matter because he is done for the year.

I'll tackle this one..

I think Mangini should be given another year but ONLY IF Daboll (Our OC) is gone. He is one of the worst offensive coordinators I have ever seen and is extremely predictable. The biggest problem all year for us has been the 2nd half.. we absolutely suck in the 2nd half; especially the 3rd quarter. Our offense is constantly going "3 and out" and we are not good enough to keep up with better teams like that.

I think Mangini and Ryan have gotten the best out of a lot of the talent they have and frankly there isn't a ton overall. We have a lot of young players on our team and we rely heavily on a "bend but don't break" defense to keep us in games. We're 5-9 but really we could very easily be 7-7 if not better.

I hope Cleveland puts up a good fight and keeps it close. If they just give up on the season and roll over it wouldn't look good for a Browns upset over the Steelers next week.

I think those guys are too young to roll over and pack it in for the season.

Right now they know it's nothing they can do to make the playoffs, however they can be a spoiler in the AFC North race.

With McCoy, Hillis, and the young talent they have on offense, I would imagine they are looking to build for next year. What better way to build a confidence for next season then to beat either the Ravens or Steelers?

The Browns always seem to play us and the Steelers well enough to at least be around in the 4th quarter, and with the new management they are under, i just can't see them laying down.

I say we blitz Colt McCoy. He's a short QB like Brees. If our D-Lineman get their hands up in McCoy's passing lanes like they did to Brees on Sunday, we should be able to pull out a solid "W".

Not that I want to see a lot of three-man fronts but giving McCoy different looks will be just as good as blitzing him. He's already one of the more mobile QBs in the league and if the blitz were to picked up, he could burn the defense making plays on the fly either scrambling or throwing much like Freeman did.

I don't think that the Browns will roll over, especially because Mangini's job is looking shaky at the minute. The last thing he needs is for his team to not care about their last two games.

I think the biggest thing for the Ravens is just to not look at McCoy as just a rookie. It's late enough in the season to know that McCoy can and will make plays if giving the opportunities.

We can't have that mentality of......oh well we just beat Brees, shut down Schuab in the first half, and beatup on Ben, so McCoy should be nothing. The Ravens have to come out with the passion and intensity of a championship team and because the North and #2 seed is still alive, i think they will.

This game could almost be classified as a "Trap Game" for the Ravens. If they don't focus and prepare mentally and shake off the emotional high of winning against the Saints, they could find themselves in trouble. Here's hoping that doesn't happen.

I guess I was referring more to our defensive gameplan against the Saints. A lot of the tactics we used on Brees would be equally effective on Colt McCoy.

I just don't see that happening. I strongly believe that is exactly what happened in the first game. Coming off of 2 hard fought road games, first home game of the season we should roll vs the Browns. Backup QB, backup RB, and a overall not so good team, it should be a blow out. Well the Browns didn't see it that way.

So i think the Ravens will come out and impose their will from start to finish, and dominate the Browns. Especially if Santa brings me my early Christmas gift of a Steelers loss on Thursday night.
