Ravens At Browns

154 posts in this topic

This game won't be a cakewalk by any means, but still a projected victory. Peyton Hillis is a monster and Colt McCoy has been great at QB. Should be another nail-biter, but if the Ravens can maintain their composure and take care of business, this should be another Ravens win.

Hopefully we'll have a better answer for Hillis. Ngata and Cody?? Ellerbe > McClain IMO (start him!!)

Amen.

Joe Haden has come into his own as a CB but I still think the Ravens can exploit him.

While yes this will be easier than the Saints (which beating them actually felt better than beating the Steelers earlier in the season) , it still will be a tough game. Atleast we have coverage of Hillis now, which we didnt earlier when we played them. It will still be tough to stop Hillis but now we should be prepared for him. Im really rooting for the Jetts to beat Pitt. SCREW a wild card , i want the Division title dam it.

It's not an easier game, it will be just as tough for them as any other game. Don't remember Hillis running wild last time??

Seems like defenses may have figured Hillis out, for the most part he's been contained and hasn't scored for the past couple of games, if we play to our ability he'll be a non-factor.

nah both McClain and Ellerbe are good players. Ellerbe better on blitz, and McClain better on back defense.

Grubbs needs to be replaced with Chester though. That was obvious today by our phenomenal run game. And Yanda got back on his guard groove, and helped us a bit too.

All the tough teams are behind us and we played hard. Next up the Browns!
My predictions will be posted in a couple days!
you can't say that!

this is the NFL and we (the Ravens) have to respect every team and play hard from the beginning unto the end. as you know, both the Browns and Bengals are in our division and realize that the Ravens and the Steelers are jocking for the division. therefore, both of these teams will play the Ravens extremely hard to play the spoiler!

we gotta stay focused and take care of our business and win these next 2 games!

LET'S GO RAVENS!

What are you saying "nah" to? I never said Jameel wasn't a good player. To me, Ellerbe's more physical and a better tackler too. I'll agree McClain is better in coverage but on occasions when's he's beat and surrenders a catch, he frequently fails to make the tackle.

To your other point, Grubbs and Chester both started today and Yanda was back at right tackle.

The way I see it is that we stop Hillis, we stop most of anything that the Browns' have.

The guy is the heartbeat of their offense, and no longer a surprise to the league. Last time we played them he was a last minute start due to Jerome Harrison being ruled out. Containing him will go a long, long way to halting their offense.

In the bigger picture though, I think we will probably win a close one, divisional games are never easy and this will be no exception.

If the offensive line continues to do their thing like this week then we could be looking good!

Though the key to beating the Browns is stopping the phenomenal Peyton Hillis, don't forget about how well Colt McCoy has played for a rookie. He's made some great, gut-check plays and has led 4th-quarter drives with the calm of a Peyton Manning. McCoy, of course, is not projected to be the next great elite QB, but the fact that this kid is playing with that level of poise, bodes well for Cleveland in the near-future.

Hey, I'm satisfied with our last two games. I thought we'd have to win out for sure to make the playoffs, 'cause I was so scared of the Saints. I am so, so proud of our boys. Great year to be a Ravens fan, boys and girls.

So basically the points to winning this game is to not look past them, stop Hillis, crush McCoy's confidence, and carry over how we played today. All possible and would lead to a pretty looking win for us. Of course, especially this year, things aren't ever that simple for the Ravens even when it seems it should be. Anyway, I still think we win this one.

Hillis was a sucker punch last game.
We see it coming now.

Still not a cake walk, but it will go better this game than the last.

We beat the Saints, I think we can beat the Browns. They really can't give up now, I want to see the Ravens at the Super Bowl this year!!! :D I'm more worried about the Bengals, but we lost to them once already so this time we should win! I don't really hear about the Browns or watch them that much, so are they even good?

I don't think the Browns are "an easier game". Cleveland is always competitive, especially within the division. After picking up Hillis (who gouged us earlier this season), they've been much better than their record shows. I'm not going to take them for granted.

Im going to this game!

I was going to go to, but it's been a pretty hefty winter on and off so far this year. It'd be one hell of an hour long drive to Cleveland in snow, so I opted to go to Pittsburgh instead, heh.
