Huge NBA Trade

10 posts in this topic

Anyone hear of the NBA trade that just went down?

Magic trade:
Vince Carter
Marcin Gortat
Mickael Pietrus

Suns trade:
Hedo Turkoglu
Jason Richardson
Earl Clark

And just recently:

Magic trade:
Rashard Lewis

Wizards trade:
Gilbert Arenas

I think this is a perfect couple of trades for the Magic. The year that they made the finals, they had terrific 3 point shooters and Turkoglu, who can attack defenses using his versatility. Basically they trade away washed up players for guys who still have a lot left. I'm lovin it.

Go Magics! (seriously, I'm a fan)

Vince Carter is completely washed up and I was waiting for them to get rid of him.

Gilbert Arenas and Dwight Howard should be interesting.

And you forgot to add the Suns get a 2011 1st round draft choice.

The new team got their first win and after one practice since being together and against the team with the best record in the NBA.

Turkoglu will thrive in the system as he did when he was in Orlando. He had a great game yesterday and Jason Richardson is a blatant upgrade over Vince Carter.

Arenas had 9 assists and 14 points off the bench. It's only a matter of time before he starts over Jameer Nelson. imo

I love this team. Once they get another Big to back up Dwight and get more chemistry, I see them going far this year.

Could Greg Oden(when healthy) backup Dwight Howard? He is going to be a free agent.

That's an idea but Orlando may not want to take a chance on him, even though they wouldn't have to pay him much.

They are going to be good down the stretch especially when they get another center. The Magics just beat the top two teams in the NBA and haven't even been in their new squad for a week.

If they can develop chemistry by playoff time, this could be a huge move. While they have certainly upgraded there team as a whole, with so many new players it could take them time.

They have won the last 2 games against what might be 2 of the best teams in the NBA, so things are looking up.
