Remember the days of Chris Redman, Elvis Grbac, Jeff Blake, Anthony Wright, Kyle Boller? Pretty much the days when the Ravens didn't have a quarterback and lacked consistency from game to game, year to year.

Maybe one year we made the playoffs and the next we went 4-12, yes, the dominant defense was there but no offense to do anything about it.

I'd much rather be here with Joe Flacco as my quarterback, heading to the playoffs for the 3rd straight year. Whatever happens this season I am glad to be at this point in time....the team in it's 3rd year with their young franchise QB.

No more inconsistency like when we didn't have one, usually the teams with good QB play are consistently the ones making the playoffs every year. That is us now, as long as we continue to take care of business in the offseason. I believe Ozzie has that taken care of quite well.

We've got a mighty fine football team in the Ravens...your post should serve to remind us of that.

Great post, scrock. I like to keep things simple and I see fans frustrations with the QB, the coaches, the D, the O, etc as an example of fans having higher expectations for the team. Some of us older fans remember the days of JohhnyU, Bert Jones(the best QB never to win a SuperBowl), and Vinne T but we temper our expectations. I think some fans expect a perfect season, a perfect QB rating and the D to pitch shutouts. Me, I am a fan of a 10 and 4 team, heading to the playoffs where anything can happen.

Just saying.

Indeed. I've voiced this opinion many times on this board and have met similar results of people agreeing, I'm in full support of your post. I'm not saying our team is all wordly, far from it, but I'm proud of our guys.
