MERGED: Complaints about FOX

CBS is playing that game. Fox was supposed to play the Ravens game according to NFL.com, but it was not to be for some reason. I know it's a divisional match up, but still.

haha just the opposite here. Colts/Jags on CBS and Eagles/Giants on Fox. Then, of course, the Steelers on CBS for the afternoon.

Yea, we've heard of DTV. Its waaaaay over priced, especially Sunday ticket. Not everybody has money to blow for half a year. Fortunately, my bro in law has it, so i watch the games at his pad. Im in California, so I seldom see the Ravens on tv, unless its a Sunday or Monday night game.

All I know is they have Flex scheduling to give us the best SNF games but they don't flex out certain games so people can watch games that have playoff implications. I get Arizona/Carolina since I live NC but come on, there has to be something where they put on games with playoff implications when your in this stretch between Weeks 15-17.

Can someone tell me how Colts and Jags gets preferance by Fox to air over the Ravens game, when I live in Pennsylvania?? 45 min from Baltimore? God I hate Fox. NFL game trackers and Red Zone are both pretty lame.

Fox is not playing the colts game.

Thats why everyone should still have a set of rabbit ear antennas in their home. I'm just where you are and was able to get Baltimore's Fox station 45 to watch the game. I was even able to switch back and forth to that crazy Eagles/Giants game.

I live in Northern DE and am able to get all of the Baltimore stations, even with all the terrain around me. Surprisingly, I'm able to get more Baltimore stations than Philly stations, even though both cities are the same distance and all of our cable providers subscribe to Philly affiliates.

what kinda rabbit ears yall using? i bought some the other day and had to take em back cause the only b-more station i could get was MPT and that was extra clear haha. i live in hyattsville, md aka litterally 2 mins from DC. I can walk to DC.... I'd almost swear they block the b-more media on purpose...lol.

this is what i bought and took back: http://www.amazon.com/Terk-Amplified-High-Definition-Antenna-Reception/dp/B0007MXZB2 it said it was good up to 45miles....but it ain't help me.

what kind of rabbit ears do you people use? i wish i was back in b-more county....

Mine is discontinued, but it's a Radioshack-brand indoor/outdoor amplified antenna. No rabbit-ears at all, it's multi-directional. I don't even mount it, I have it laying on my headboard and it picks up something like 15-20 channels, crisp and clear in HD, although FOX is difficult to pick up in some spots and I have to adjust when I need to watch FOX games.

The other thing to take into consideration is the terrain around you; I don't have a link, but if you Google something like "TV antenna coverage area" and put in your zip code or address, they can figure out what channels you can comfortably get.

http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx

the person on this board that put me onto rabbit ears lived in rockville. i swear they block stuff where i live.

based on my address only b-more station i can get is:

blue
uhf WMPT-DT 22.1 PBS BALTIMORE, MD 93° 20.5 42
* violet
uhf WMAR-DT 2.1 ABC BALTIMORE, MD 46° 31.0 38
* violet
uhf WNUV-DT 54.1 CW BALTIMORE, MD 46° 31.1 40

but with a powerful multi-directional antena i'm sure i can get all the b-more stations. i think....

Your results may still vary, but in theory, if you get one that requires its own power supply for that amplification, you might be able to get more channels in theory because the range will be extended. No guarantees, however. I highly suggest you try to pick one up in-store rather than online, unless you don't mind shipping an item back if you need to return it.

This is what I don't understand. We are in the playoff push right now and people are getting games that don't have any playoff implications to it. Example, Dallas vs Redskins and for me I get Cardinals vs Panthers. Now granted I do understand the whole local team thing where you have to show the local team, but I think something has to be done where like Flex scheduling provides the best games on SNF, put games on that impact the playoffs, even if the local team isn't in the playoff hunt, show a game that has playoff implications. The only game I get to watch that has playoff implications is Jets/Steelers at 4:15. Something needs to be done where toward the end part of the season, people get to watch games with playoff implications, over the local team especially if the local team is out of it. Fix this NFL!
[/quote]
The fact is that Baltimore has always been over looked by the major networks

true. hopefully i can find something in the store that can get 40-50 miles for indoor use.

found a better website:
http://www.antennapoint.com/20783.html

that's not my exact address...i'm 31 miles from wjz and wbff. so i need something a lil more powerful.

ok, so I messed up a bit. CBS was showing the JAC IND game, FOX was showing the PHI NYG game. Fox has a contract to show Phily over anything here, even though Bmore is 45 min away and philly is like 3 hours. Makes me scratch my head. Most people in York are Ravens or Steelers.
