Just Curious But I Have A Question For All Of You Guys

Now , I know this may not have to do with Baltimore Ravens football but this is the only website where I could find alot of Baltimore sports fans so what the hell. I mind as well ask it. :P I was thinking about this earlier but what sport do you think should come here next and why?

MLS = Major league soccer? (I love soccer and we have 2 really good forwards in the MLS from Baltimore and Baltimore is slowly starting to become a hotbed of talent in the U.S.A for soccer. The 2 forwards that are really good that are from here are Kenny Cooper " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_Cooper " and Santino Quaranta " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santino_Quaranta " )

NHL = National Hockey league? (Now , I am not a big fan of hockey but I will support any team that Baltimore has. Didn't we use to have a hockey team here in Baltimore? I remember the mascot but not the name of the team. It used to be a raccoon or something like that? Baltimore bandits? I forgot.)

NBA = Basketball? (Should we have a basketball team to come back here in Baltimore and have a good rival match-up against the wizards? Didn't Washington D.C "Steal" our basketball team? We used to have the Baltimore bullets then they moved to D.C to become the Washington Bullets then the rest becomes history..And for some reason , There are quite a few wizards fans here in Baltimore and the last thing I don't like is alot of D.C teams getting fans here in Baltimore too.:rolleyes: . Like NHL and NBA , MLS. Etc.)

AFL= Arena football league? (It wouldn't hurt to get another football team here in another league. Don't we have a indoor football team here now? Called the Baltimore firebirds or something like that?)

There was discussion that the 1st Mariner Arena would be torn down and re-built a little bigger and, obviously, more technologically advanced.. That being said, it will NOT be big enough to hold an NBA or NHL franchise unfortunately. Regarding an AFL team, I also doubt it would be big enough. MLS.. who knows, but I don't think soccer is big enough here to warrant a team, but hey I wouldn't mind either way....

Who said it had to be at the arena?

I for one would like a NHL.

I would love for an NBA team to come to Baltimore. The only reason I'm for the Sonics moving is so we could get them.

yea an NBA team would only add to the Baltimore Sports Atmosphere and would (i think) really bring in more and more people from all over to come and experience this "Baltimore Love Thing" (Tupac quote)

If this is going to happen, Baltimore needs a new Arena to replace 1st Mariner. The only thing I've heard was that Ed Hale who owns the Baltimore Blast wanted to build an arena in Canton that would hold 14,000, they would need about 17-18,000 capacity to get an NBA or NHL team or get concerts that usually go to the Verizon Center in DC.

Baltimore was a minor league hockey city for many years first with the Clippers in the 60's and 70's, then the Skipjacks who were a Penguins and later a Caps affiliate and then the Bandits who were with the Mighty Ducks. There was also briefly a WHA team in Baltimore called the Blades sometime in the mid '70s.

Baltimore should defiently invest in a NBA team!

But Baltimore should invest and build a state of the art Arena first. :)
