So convenient for the Stealers to have both the Patriots and Jets at home when we had to play both teams on the road.....

The Jets would be better with Brunell or Clemens under center. I'm honestly surprised Sanchez went so long without an interception this year. Of course, after that he's thrown 8 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. This guy isn't an NFL quarterback, let alone a top five draft pick. Good news for him though, now he has a better quarterback rating this year than Favre.

I saw it on ESPN insiders awhile back, but they had it broken down that Sanchez really wasn't playing all that different that last year in terms of his decision making. The difference was his sheer dumb luck, teams were dropping interceptions that were thrown at them and the Jets offense had recovered something like 70% of the fumbles they had dropped. You could see it in the Dolphins game as an indicator, Sanchez should have been picked like 6 times, 3 along by Sean Smith but he couldnt catch for crap that night.

Yeah, he's definitely benefited from luck this season. I'm curious to see how long Rex and the Jets stand by him. Let's face it, he's going to have to work extremely hard to fix the issues he has.

Man this game is gonna be interesting. I don't like how we're placing faith in Sanchez to pull one over the Steelers so that we can win back first place in the division. I can see the Jets being held to the ground here. (I would have said brought down to the ground but the Patriots did a nice job of that) 9 points in two games has to be demoralizing.

On topic though, I think Revis will be placed on Ward, and Wallace will have the biggest impact on the game as Sanchez is probably gonna have wet pants heading on to the field, and potentially lose the game for the Jets.
Ward said he expects to be matched up with Revis and for Mike Wallace to be matched against Antonio Cromartie.

Revis vs. Ward should be very interesting. I remember when Revis blasted T.O. to the ground for no apparent reason last year in Buffalo. I'd love to see him do something like that to Ward. Hypocritical, I know. :P

Cromartie vs. Wallace will be fun too. I wonder how many times Cro whiffs on a tackle.

I'm sure he will. But, he had better be prepared to take one too. Hines always takes his hits with a smile. No question he'll be delivering them with one too.

To be honest, I'd love to see them just hit each other all game. I don't like Revis and as you know, am not too fond of Ward even though I like his game for the most part.

I wouldn't mind that either. Revis will lose that battle. Hines' threshold for pain is seemingly endless.

Maybe. The Ravens game aside, I'm really looking forward to the game.

The question regarding who will have a bigger impact, Holmes vs Wallace, has less to do with Holmes, Wallace, Revis and Ike Taylor, than it does to another factor.

Pittsburgh's Offensive Line is terrible at protecting Ben - both he and Sanchez have been sacked 26 times, but Sanchez has 50% more pass attempts. However, Pittsburgh has more sacks - 39 to 32 for the Jets. As a result... it means both QBs should feel an equivalent amount of pressure. Both will have a lot of pass rushers in their face.

And the fact is, Ben is a MUCH better QB than Sanchez, especially at avoiding the rush.

Wallace will have a bigger impact.

:34853_doh: Sanchez just got a gift: Polamalu unlikely to play Sunday. :gaah:

Yeah, but Sanchez is (yeah, I know, same joke I used in another thread, but it is Sanchez)

Just tagged a co-workers cube:

I took all his Jets memorabilia and threw it in his trash can. Then I hung Steelers stuff ALL OVER his cube. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

He started it, by threatening to do it to me if the Jets won. Since I'm on vacation next week, I figured it better to just strike first.

Is Cromartie going to be covering the faster Wallace? Cause in all honesty he shouldn't have a problem keeping up as Cro is more speed and less technical. Revis is going to make Ward look bad, bad matchup for him as Revis is just as strong but faster.

That's too funny Ward about tagging the cube, he probably worked hard for those 3 walls haha.

I hope the Jets take it, but hopefully the Pit D can get turnovers cause I need some points from them.

Sorry couldn't resist Warden. Your hate for fantasy makes it too tempting. ;)
