I Think We Got Our Kr!

I had posted earlier that we needed more out of the return team. Minutes before the Reed return, I was thinking that there hasn't been a TD on a punt or kickoff this year. Who can tell me the last TD return before tonight?

Easy now, As the guy above me said webb was pretty good before he tore his ACL. Lets not forget how Yamon Figurs because one of the top returners in the NFL for about a season and half before he lost the courage to return kicks and just studdered everytime he got the ball.

Something makes me believe that Reed very well could be the guy. I mean, not only does he have the speed, but he's shifty. There's really no logical way he should have broke all those tackles and still made it to the endzone. The guy's not afraid of running with the ball, getting hit, or trying to make that big play. He's been pretty good since he started returning kicks, and I think today may have solidified the position for him. But only time will tell.

That's what I like about him the most, his fearlessness. He's showed it a lot this season but the TD and return he had in overtime are proof the guy is one of those players that just finds away to make plays. It's very early but I think he could be a very good WR too.

Now he just has to avoid jail time and a huge suspension for being caught with "narcotics." I want to know why he invited the police in, by the way it sounds it is unlikely they had a warrant so I'm 90% sure he will get off on the charges. But Roger "god"ell might have something to say about it.

Yeah, I definitely think he has what it takes to make a good receiver as well. We'll just have to wait and see with all the talent that's currently ahead of him on the team. But hey, that will give him time to brush up and polish his skills.

I really hope that whatever is going on with Reed and the police is a misunderstanding. Beyond this year as a KR, I see Reed being a solid WR for us. He sorta reminds me of Miles Austin in Dallas.

I like that comparison. When David adds some bulk to his frame, he could definitely be Austin-like.

The tackling was poor but you have to credit Reed for staying on his feet and finishing the play.

I don't know about you guys but Housh isn't doing much. I'd rather see Reed as our 4th WR instead of continuing to try and force balls to Housh to keep him happy.

I remember him being thrown to only three times yesterday. He caught two and was held on the other(refs chose to look the other way).

There was bad tackling on their part, but Reed is surprisingly physical for such a light-weight guy and he's good at beating the first man. On the other side of the ball, he IS the first man, and has made a bunch of tackles for loss or no gain. The guy has been playing great. Hats off.

Great point. His impact on returns has been big but he's arguably been the team's best gunner too. Jammers are always holding him during punts.
