Read this on Rotoworld, apparently the Giants plan on extending Tom Coughlin. Guess the Giants like that mid-season decline alot because that's all they will get if they keep Coughlin.

So much for anything big happening, here we expect big firings like Sparano in Miami, and Fisher in Tennessee and all we get is Mangini fired, Marvin Lewis staying in Cincy, Kubiak staying in Houston, Fraizer staying in Minnesota and Jim Harbaugh refusing to answer any questions about where he may go. Boring....

I didn't think so. The failure of the defense wasn't entirely on his shoulders. The loss of Ryans was huge, Cushing was suspended for several games and the GM traded away their best CB.

On offense they could still put up points and they even established a running game (best in the league). If the GM can bring in a cornerback or two. They'll get Ryans healty and Cushing ready to go. I saw the FO giving him another shot.

I was thinking if the Bengals could have actually done well again this year, that we could have had a shot at 3 AFC North Teams making the playoffs, and that was in the pre-season btw. Boy did the Bungles decide to show up instead. Someday the AFC North will get 3 teams in the playoffs... someday.

Interesting. Read that Marvin wants more control over the roster, and wants a indoor facility built, but didn't hear about how he wanted the scouts improved. Guess they aren't willing to do all that which is why he probably won't be back.

I'm glad somebody agrees. Everytime I hear Marvin's voice I think "Andy Garcia?", just wanted to make sure I'm not too crazy.

So both Mike Holmgren & Al Davis fire coaches when they have the team going in the right direction... well you guys think Tom Cable will be given another shot at a Head Coaching job or will he be a Coordinator again somewhere else? If I'm Cable, I would be happy to get out of Oakland because I think Cable was doing a great job and like Mangini, given proper time(4-5 years) could build a great team. Guess we won't be able to get Hue Jackson back as it seems he may become the new Raiders Head Coach.

I wouldn't be suprised if Fisher is fired the haven't even tasted the Super Bowl under him since 1999 and the passed two years have been let downs as far as the record is concerned

I'm not sure Harbaugh will enter the NFL just yet. Sure he's talking with San Fran and Miami, but I don't recall hearing him say for certain he was looking for an NFL gig. I wouldn't be surprised to see him join Luck at Stanford for another year.
