You Thought Our Announcing Crew Sucked

At the end of the Tampa/Redskins game, the announcers misread what down it was. Okay, but it lasted for an entire series, resulting in what the announcers thought was a 5th down.

As you can see, the digital yellow line is one yard ahead of the real first down marker, which led the commentators to believe a 1st and 10 was actually a 2nd and 1.

At least they got the last name right. I seriously don't know how you could get that mixed up. Priest hasn't played since 2007, so you'd assume only someone who approaches the sport casually would be able to mix up the two. However, you'd imagine a casual fan wouldn't remember Priest by now.

yeah quite a mistake really. the guy apparently used to host the coverage when it was on in the 80s so i'd imagine he knows a little bit.
