Punctuation is a new found art.. Its as rare in this thread as cam calling an entire game aggressively

All we gotta do is take care of ourselves... We'll be fine

Bottom line barring a major choke job by the Stoolers we are a wild card team The question is which one? I feel pretty safe not sending in my money for playoff tix because the only way possible we could host a home game would be for us to have the top wild card and both us and the lower wild card team advancing into the AFC championship game. Slim to none chance. Here's to roadtripping

What the Jets did affects the standings but it doesn't change the pressure the Ravens have on them to go out and spank an inferior team in the Texans like they should on Monday night.

Miami inches closer, but really they aren't a threat. It was nice to see the Jets lose, putting us in that #5 spot. I think that means we would go through Pitt in the second round. But let's hope the Jets rebound for a short period, next week to beat the Steelers. Then Sancheese can fail again.

I'm glad our defense start to pick up and play like a real stellar Ravens defense. We need that in playoff.

We'll see how they perform tomorrow night and against the Saints in two weeks time.

Good test for our defense in the up coming games. If we can hold Shaub and Brees less than a TD or no TD, our pass rush is lethal.

You may need to lower your expectations just a wee bit....I wouldn't want you to be disappointed.

I love my team but I doubt the Ravens hold either of those teams to just one or no TDs.

Suggs has been animal but there still aren't any consistent pass rushers on this team besides him so I wouldn't call the pass rush "lethal".

The only way we hold Schaub and Brees to one touchdown is if God Himself plays cornerback. But I agree, those will be big defensive statement games - I hope, anyway.

God himself would have a tough time covering Andre Johnson, so it's a good thing we have Ed Reed to help do the job.

I can't help but think that the Jets have been exposed as being just not that great a team at this point in the season. They had a series of close games against lesser teams and they were praised as "resilient" for winning them. After all, good teams win games even when they don't play well. But maybe they won those ones close because they just weren't great. The Dolphin certainly aren't an elite team, and they played terribly, but they still beat the Jets. I look forward to seeing them get hammered by Pittsburgh next week.

Man the Jets offense looked anemic. Dropped passes, poor protection, turnovers. There is no way they win against Pitt and that makes them 9-5. In this tough WC race I think they might miss out on the playoffs

Jets are one of the most overrated teams I've ever seen. If they played in a smaller market the talking heads would be writing them off as pretenders. When I watch Sanchez play it makes me so thankful we have flacco.

Somethin I can't ever remember because it varies by sport
I know the #1 and #2 seeds from each division have a bye week in the wild card round. Then the 3-6 seeds and the 4-5 seeds play each other? Then the 1 seed gets the winner from the 3-6 game, and the 2 gets the other team? Or do I have it backwards.

1 and 2 of the conference get a bye (which is what you meant when you said division)

Yes, 3 plays 6 while 4 plays 5.

Then 1 will play the (numerically) highest seeded team left while 2 plays the other.

Then, of course, those winners play each other in the AFC championship game.

If any team gets close, it's best that it's Miami since we have a tiebreaking win over them just as we do for the Jets.

I have no idea why we are talking about Playoffs when we got to play 4 games left in the season. 4 games that I believe can go either way. Lets look at them, Houston has a good offense and has homefield advantage, we had a shoot out with buffalo so anything can happen. Saints are the saints. Browns are playing with some fire and that was kind of a close game as well. And the Bungles already beat us.

Players and team, yes. They should be focused on the upcoming game. But as part of being a fan, we have the wonderful ability to discuss playoff outlooks. Because that's what fans do.

Okay so it is the normal best teams get the easiest matchup.

Yeah I know what you mean. If I were another team I would of course be much more worried about playing a #5 seed Raven team than #3 Chiefs.
