Did Preston hire a ghost writer? There wasnt one negative thing said about the Ravens in that article. He couldnt have written it.

I hope he is one of those lateround gems. If he is he just may very well beat out Landry for the spot.

As much as I love this guy, he is not strong safety material (that would be Zbikowski). He just lacks the size, plain and simple. He is a hard-hitting, agile free safety. He'll be a special teams gunner and probably return some punts and play backup to Ed.

If he does win one of the two starting safety spots, they could always move Reed back to SS.

thats what they said about ray lewis (and Troy Smith, but we have to give him playing time to prove them wrong).

Ray Lewis, Dwight Freeney and Gary Brackett. Those guys were considered very short and look at the Impact they have done against other teams. So height is never an issue for a player who wants to prove their critics wrong.

precisely my exact point i've been stressing all this time........SIZE does not matter in most cases, sure it provides a slight advantage and such, but like i said before, what a player lacks in one department, he surely can make up for it in the other areas that are more influenticial.

there's no doubt that he's a competitor and will actively contribute to this team both from a player stand point and as a mentor to the younger guys trying to earn a spot, seeing how special teams is the active area in which the younger guys will see the MOST action.

he offers us with a little more leverage with his overall burst of speed and ability to get through the opponents line and get to the ball carrier or minimal or no gain.

He's a rookie, he's not going to be mentoring anyone.

what i meant by the word "mentoring" is like, how each player on the team, helps each other out and offer's advice or offers suggestions that could provide to be vital aspects/concepts to be accounted for in the long run of things, down the road. i mean because Rookies can provide to be vital sources of information as well..... not just the Veterans (though the veterans often are the one's whom offer the advice) everyone has their own way of playing and every bit of help from anyone, whether it be from a rookie, a veteran, a retired player... who ever........can indeed prove to be worthy for a players development down the road.
