Steroids. The fact that he's not planning to appeal it speaks volumes, whether it be "for the playoffs" or not.

Am I supposed to believe that all these players are testing positive because some sort of medication? What BS. You took steroids.

It's a more realistic excuse than Cushing's "I was working out too hard".

If he was/is on steroids then he deserves it, if not then the NFL is basically punishing a guy for having ADHD which he can't do anything about without the meds.

Per ComCast SportsNet New England:

Spikes' positive test caused by ADHD medicine

Amphetamines in a medicine designed to combat attention deficit disorder caused rookie linebacker Brandon Spikes to test positive for performance enhancers, a source confirmed Saturday.

Adderall, a common drug used in the treatment of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), contains amphetamines which are listed as a performance enhancer by the NFL.

It's not known whether Spikes was taking Adderall specifically or a similar medication.

Oh, well thankfully a New England source found a solution that could make Spikes seem like the victim.
:34853_shakehead:

Sorry if I don't sound immediately on board with these "it was just a mistake" results. Logic prevents me from thinking professional athletes would be more likely to require medicine for ADHD than to enhance their performance illegally.
