Oh man!!

Just had to start a topic about it.

Perhaps now (a few months after the game) we can talk normally about it. That days directly after the game everybody was angry and furious.

Everytime I see it I want to start crying like a baby.

It's crazy that we all thaught that we have won the game 4 times, and that the Pats actually won the game by creating a False start.

But that makes me trust in our team every time i'm watching it.

For me personally, one of the greatest Ravens moment since watching and living football!!!

As I've said time and again, this game was both the best and the worst game in Ravens history.

Best, because of how proud the team made all of us on national TV in a classic David vs. Goliath-like struggle.

Worst, because of the outcome, obviously.

But again, I've never been prouder of the effort the team displayed. I'll give all the credit in the world to the Patriots for finding a way to pull out the victory in the clutch, but I still believe in my heart that the Ravens deserved it more.

But the game of football, like life, isn't about fairness, and what happened, happened.

And yes, a slight tear still comes to my eye when I watch that game, from both joy and sadness.

This was just about the first Ravens game I was able to watch in its entirety being on the West Coast and not having cable ( :( ). But this game solidified me as a Ravens fan just to see how exciting it was to watch. I can still remember yelling at the TV near the end of the game at the bogusness of some of the calls near the end, but that didn't take away from the greatness of the game!

Now Balitmore fans can claim to have to two Greatest Games Ever with their teams involved Colts vs Giants and Ravens vs Patroits, both were great, I just wish the second had ended like the first one...

The outcome still causes me pain. We were on such a high and crashed so hard. I think I still have whiplash.

Wishful thinking on your part. I'd rather forget it ever happened.

To be perfectly honest, this game still makes me wanna cry like a baby. It's still to this day a real hard loss for me to swallow the fact that we could have prevented one of the greatest teams in NFL history from reaching perfection. =(

I am more angry by the way we were screwed over. If we would have lost fair and square, without all the questionable calls and no calls, I wouldnt be so mad about it. But the mere fact that the refs did a terrible job officiating the last quarter of that game ticks me off to no end.

Yeah, I hate bad umpires, like our first of the season against the Bengals.

They can really screw a whole Game, with one stupid call

Its like they intentionally put the 2nd half the Patriots way. Besides... This is something about the Patriots. Its something BIG in to which I think they ARE NOT the greatest team in NFL History...

How can a team that is supposedly supposed to be called the greatest team in the world knit picks at stuff. They are very picky about penalties. If you noticed... They always look for penalties to get them their chance at a win when they think they are about to lose. They arent that great if thats the way they have to win. Didnt they do it against the Giants in the Superbowl? So in other words. Patriots cant play the game fair and arent the greatest team.

My wife is from Boston so sadly she is a Pats fan. Well she is a RAVENS fan too but when they play each other she sides with the Pats :(

Any way we were at that game and it one of THE BEST Ravens games I have ever been to. ( The only one better in my opinion was the come back game way back when against the sea hawks )

Any way at the pats game we never sat down once. That game was pure excitement from the kick off to the very end. It was amoung the best The RAVENS had ever played. Even my wife admited. the RAVENS won that game.

While I agree that was a hard game to swallow, (I was in the end zone where the game winning touchdown was thrown) I have to say to see the mighty Patriots crash hard in the Super Bowl to ELI MANNING was just such sweet justice. I'm ALMOST happy we lost that game so they could continue and then get TOTALLY embarassed on an international stage in the Super Bowl. Honestly one of the greatest moments EVER!!

The game was tough. There were some questionable calls, but in reality we let them get away at the last second. I bleed black and purple, but we really had ample chance to finish them off and didn't capitalize. No reason we should not have scored on our last posession when we threw a huge pass we didn't need to and turned into an interception. But what's done is done. An amazing game for sure....

What I really loved about this game was how well the offense played, esp. Kyle Boller. We all know they have the talant to do it, I wish they would just do it every week.

not only the Offense, but the team in its entirity, they all came together and fought as one, an equal unit and as such, they went out as one valiant force..... when one side made a play, the other side made sure they countered their efforts by doing the same and vice versus. and when the penalties started and we saw Bart Fired up and upset, you saw the whole team behind him, fighting and backing him by relentlessly pounding the opposition and battling the ref's

They Came into the Game as a Team, they Fought as a Team, they Lost like a Team....now thats the True Definition of a TRUE team...

each player had each other's backs out there and we saw that by the way the team responded to the refs and the Patriots.

I think we won that game by FAR... No way it was close. The Patriots have no excuse. We had starters who were playing with injuries as well as some that were out with injuries. Patriots only had Calvin out.. Thats it.

true true, we were the better team that day without question and the fact that we had the entire nation behind us and supporting us that night...really only implified the Team's overall performance to be that much better...to which they certainly did not disappoint. and it was clear for everyone to see the Power, the Emotion and all the above...that the ravens put into that game....

I was very sad at the end of that game.. But I was really proud of my boys to get out there and show the world we still have what it takes to beat a caliber team like the Pats... Even if we did lose in the end.

You know what HC really makes me mad? Mike Shanahan from the Broncos. Ever since he did that timeout thing now everyones doing it.. Look how it screwed us over in the Pats game.

It was an exciting game, but the more I think about it the more I realize I won't be fully "over" the lameness of out loss to the Pats until we beat them either in our Preseason match-up (which doesn't matter as much) or in some regular season game down the road while the core of the "18-1" Pats are still together, then I'll be able to look back on this game and how it ended a bit more favorably.

I think what I liked the best about the game was the innovation we saw on the defensive side.

We showed some of the flashes of brilliance (like overloading one side of the D line on a blitz) and didn't just roll over for the Pats like everyone else had done.

That said, it was very nerve racking watching the game in the 4th quarter.

...and when Mark Clayton caught the bomb from Kyle.

I think it was Devard Darling who caught the last pass 2 yards short of the end zone. When I was watching it on T.V. I thought it was going to make it to the endzone... That was heartbreaking.

heart breaking? yes, defeated? heck no..... if anything, what that performance/game showed all of us is that anything can and will be done, if you all work together continually towards the equal common goal of winning the game, and have the same level of intensity and poise and determination throughout the course of the game, then i see no reason as to why anything should be slacking. and i also think that it was that game in which showed any and all people/teams watching, that the most important thing is team work. without team work, you will go absolutely no where. you must have a centerfold behind you, backing you with everything you do and a full cast of people behind you for support. thus is exactly what we all saw that night with what unfolded in the later parts of the game.

and what a great last ditch effort that was, to have him catch that football and just miss the score by less than 3 yards....... its really games like this that draw people into watching this great sport that we have all come to love and cherish. you can bet that we are definitely NOT finished, we still have un-finished business because we didnt make it to the SuperBowl, so until we finally do (**again**) we're always going to have some sort of "un-finished business"... just like the rest of the Teams in the league that didn't make it.

I knew the game was over when the Pats were kicking off from the 35 yard line. That last play ment nothing. I'd bet all the money in the world that if Clayton had some how gotten that ball into the end zone, the flag would have came down on Mason for offensive pass interference because he literally tackled Samual and held him down before the ball got anywhere near him.

i kept faith in our team when they were still in it and very much "alive". i always do, at least until it seems the game is absolutely out-of-reach. but until that point, i keep the faith.
