It was great to see him fill in for Todd Heap.
I think in an overall sense he did well against the
steelers. For me, I didn't care much about the dropped pass. That is not the end of the world in terms of game productivity. The rookie mistake that was key was the "awareness" of blocking Troy on that Blitz play by the Steelers. I think because the defense wasn't given enough side-line time, and the area of the field we were on this cost us the game. If it were Todd Heap he probably would have stayed back and picked up that block. To me, "A good block allowing the QB extra time is equivalent to catching a 1st down pass."

The dropped pass was HUGE. Even if he had slowed and made sure he secured it before running, he still would picked up a sizeable again.

Didn't the Ravens punt on that drive too? Who knows what might have happened had Dickson reeled in the pass.

As for the strip-sack by Troy, Dickson was on the other side of the line. We've discussed that play forever since Sunday night. Oher was the one who should have made the block.

So, in short, the dropped pass stalled a drive and Oher missed the protection assignment!
