Heinz Ward Is A Hypocrite

63 posts in this topic

Just look at this video attached in this article at around 6:04

A blatant clip from behind, no 2 ways to look at it, Heinz is a dirty player, and the refs were off in lala land while our 36/7 year old ILB is taking hits from behind that he doesn't need to be taking. Talk about trying to take players out of the game.

I'd like to see what warden has to say about Hines Ward in that video. Harrison at least could see it coming, Ward came back for Ray and just drilled him in the back.

As opposed to some other borderline blocks that Hines Ward has made, Ray Lewis was away from the play in this case. He was no threat to the Steelers ballcarrier at all. That shot was unnecessary.

Hines Ward is a coward. I loathe that guy. He is the one player that I will clap for when he is injured on the field.

Yeah, I definitely didn't see that during the game. Not surprised though. Keep watching that video and you get to see Haloti Ngata OWN Jonathan Scott.

I dislike him more than anyone, but I don't think I could ever applaud someone getting injured or hurt. Just classless in my opinion. Now if he got into a fight like Johnson/Finnegan and got his @zz whooped, I would cheer that.

Looking at it, the call could go either way. Wines Hard's head was on the outside. That's the only reason I could see it being a no call.
his shoulder pad hit him square in the back....in this instance, the head position does not matter at all. Not to mention it was 15 yeads away from the ball carrier.

He is a classless guy and deserves it. While im not talking about paralysis or death, I would like to see him with a broken jaw or broken limb. Wish it was him instead of Heath Miller that took that hit.

Just start a thread called "Hines Ward is a Punk" and then lock it and sticky it. You're done. ;)

Somebody, someday, is gonna knock his teeth out and I'll smile.

2. I can't wait to see him cry again, he's always got that psychotic smile on his face, I want Ray Ray to wipe it off his face with authority next game.

Like others have said, that isn't surprising. It's been taken down but there used to be a video on YouTube of Ward launching himself, head-first at Bart Scott during the second primetime game two years ago. Not only was the play over but Bart was a good 10 yards away from the ball.

In the grand scheme of things though, Ward has become a non-factor against the Ravens. Carr has pretty much shut him down twice now and the biggest impact Ward can make is blocking for Mendenhall.

Yeah, I don't want anything serious to happen to him but I think it would be great for him to have a broken jaw.

I know Keith Rivers would like that.

Not only that, but in an article on the main site, Ed said Hines went for his knees on two consecutive plays. Yet that is the only place it is mentioned in the media, but Harrison calling out Chester for a "cheap shot" is plastered all over every sports website...I personally feel both sides of this are non-stories, but media just can't hide their biases..real objective reporting there.....

They were asleep when our QB got his nose busted; asleep when he took a late hit and asleep when our TE took a devastating blow to the helmet too.

Not trying to be antagonistic but when did he take a late hit?

Whenever it happened, I've come to realize late hits are called depending on the crew and at times, the QB.

I finally got to 6:04 in the video. You're right, Hines hit him more in the back left shoulder blade than from the side, but I don't think you can argue that Hines ran in a semi-circle in an attempt to hit him from the side. You guys made it sound like he ran straight for Rays back. He should have realized the hit wasn't there. I don't blame Ray for being pissed. At the same time, I don't care either. :P

Second Quarter (I have no video, but I still have the game recorded):
In the second quarter, as he was chased from the pocket, Roethlisberger was shoved to the ground by safety Dawan Landry after he released the ball. No penalty was called, and Roethlisberger looked at referee Terry McAulay and waved his hand in disgust.
BTW - Neither am I. There are a lot of things along these lines that most of us will not agree on. I still respect the fanhood of the majority of you guys.

Interesting. Again, some refs let the players play, others throws flag.

To be honest, I don't have a major problem with that or the Ngata blow to the face. The Heath Miller hit I do. Not because of the hit itself, but that there was no flag and we've been getting all the flags to that point this season. The inconsistency about it is what bothers me.

I agree with the inconsistency, and whether McClain meant to or not is a mute point, in relation to what the NFL is doing all year that is a penalty and should have been flagged. I know as soon as it happened I was like "frick me, just gave them a first down for a nothing hit", then I was like hell we just caught a break.

If the NFL is going to actually attempt to take away some of the viciousness of the game at least be consistent, regardless if its the best and most physical rivalry in the game. Its like they want the Ravens/Steelers to bring them the oldschool, bar room brawl game twice a year and praise the hell out of it...but for the rest of the season they want the spread offense, protect everyone's gitch from streak marks, and make sure nobody gets hit too hard.

:deadhorse: Lord Goodell must protect the Queens of the NFL - Brady and Manning.

It's a joke how he has taken the hitting out of football. Simply put he does not want teams like the Steelers or Ravens winning the SuperBowl.

He wants a 45-42 shootout between Tom Lady and Drew Brees.
