Fred Davis Over Sleeps

I was wondering if anyone thought this was a big deal and if you were the HC or GM how/ if you would discipline him.

You'd think with the signing bonus he got from being a draft pick could have been invested in an alarm clock.

You know this is his job. If I show up late to work, I get disciplined, assuming my supervisor isnt running late that day herself. I think it is a big deal. I think its kind of disrespectful, especially since the chances that he actually overslept is slim to none. It also shows that he's not neccessarily excited about his new job or he's not fully focused on it. As much as we all love football here if one of you were to get drafted, you probably wouldnt even sleep the entire night before your first mini camp, let alone oversleep because you'd be to excited.

oversleeping could mean that:

- he's been up all night partying it up

- he shares Tom Brady's awesome trait of being able to sleep under heavy pressured events (see super bowl XXXVI, Brady is napping right before the game!)

- with the resemblance of the Redskins jerseys to the Trojans, he must have thought he was still in college and carried on his normal routine.

Davis: uh coach, you see the reason I missed yesterdays practice was because of an injury I sustained in bowling class. doctors said if I slept it off it would go away and what do you know I feel good as new! lmao.gif

sorry, but i crack myself up :ph34r:

I was joking with my friend about this, back when the story was "Fred Davis Absent from Camp," and before they found he had just overslept.

He could have picked something cooler to do while skipping camp.
