Week 13's #1 'paper bag of shame' went to John Harbaugh, after Cam Cameron went for it after last minute desperate attempt to win the game,AFTER doing nothing for the whole 2nd half like we always do this whole season. Harbaugh of course with 0 experience of offense backs his best pal Cam Cameron to say "never would criticize our coaches, never did, never will". Listen habrbaugh, you guys just costed the team our playoff berth to the steelers. I think for all the players that played their heart for that joke of a play call, the time is now to start whipping Cam back out his sleep.

Our playoff hopes are not dead. Jeez, we're still sixth right now with a great chance at fifth.
Yeah, this didn't "costed" us a playoff berth

Wow the Ravens took a lot of hits in that. But I agree about the pants thing, they didn't look so good.

A clown doing a joke segment on NFL Network doesn't do anything to shake my confidence in Harbaugh.

Frankly, the guy sound pretty anti-Ravens, putting us "ahead" of the Jets who had one of the most shameful performances ever on national television. They lost by 14x more than us LOL

The only thing it "costed" the team was it's undefeated streak at home this season and the current second seed. While we usually see this type of "The Sky is Falling!" reaction on the boards after a loss. But, I swear, after sunday's loss, you'd would have thought we just lost the Super Bowl.

Awful show with a complete Steeler bias. See that pic he had with Polamalu and the caption "We're sorry" to the Ravens?

Heck, he's probably mad because we banned him from the boards, here.

Harbaugh of course with 0 experience of offense...
Harbaugh isn't very involved with the Ravens' offense but you're wrong with this statement. You don't become an NFL head coach with "0 experience of offense"(great wording by the way).

Dave Dameshek is a joke. He's a hardcore Steelers fan, which is exactly why we were featured on two separate occasions in the same segment. His fantasy advice is awful, which is why I can't comprehend why he's kept around. And Harbaugh didn't cost the Ravens anything. We can blame the play-calling and execution down the stretch, but to blame Harbaugh for this is downright ridiculous. I was never aware that he called the plays. We're 2 games ahead of every single contender for the Wild Card. Calm down.

Just a quick google search on him confirms that, didn't know his name - thanks.

The next edition of the "Shame Report" should include this thread :34853_shakehead: Since when did a Steelers troll (televised or not) become a voice of reason? Never.

He does deserve the brown paper bag imho. Hes responsible for coach decisions for most.
No, he isn't. He delegates responsibility to coaches who've done it longer than him. Granted, while it's become painfully clear he needs to tighten the reigns, he isn't directly responsible for everything the coordinators do.

yaw forum champions are mad, Harbaugh is 100% responsible for the team.
Harbaugh is not "100% responsible for the team". Cam calls the offensive plays, Mattison calls the defensive plays, the players execute the players. The only thing Harbaugh is guilty of, right now, is letting Cam run rampant with his stubborn approach to the offense.

Why do you always fall back on snarky remarks when people challenge your points?

Lack of ability to properly refute arguments and general lack of debating skills, I'd imagine. Oh... and I'd imagine he doesn't have the knowledge to back up his statements any other way.

He's not trolling. Maybe he wasn't talking to the posters here who have no life besides this message board. Some of these posters have thousands of posts and been a member for a year. Respond to them.

It's pretty hypocritical to flame someone for the same thing you're doing. We all have lives outside of the internet  this message board makes up the vast minority of peoples' lives.

The funny thing about that play is, it was the correct call. Cam fooled Dick Labaeu, the steelers defense thought the Ravens were running the ball after we picked up 5 yards on first down. Cam called a pass play with a 3 step drop that found Dickson wide open. The throw/route combo would have beaten the blitz the Steelers sent and would have resulted in a first down.

The only problem was Oher didn't execute well. Troy P walked up late to the line and blitzed at the snap of the ball, Oher blocked down and double teamed Harrison instead of blocking out and at least getting a hand on Troy. Almost as if he was run blocking. If Oher at least gets a hand on Troy, it would have given Flacco the split second longer he would have needed to get the ball out. If that play is successful, everyone in the media is praising Cam for putting the game in the hands of his young QB and praising Flacco for beating the Steelers blitz yet again and making enough plays to win the game.

I've heard people say, the Ravens should have run in that situation, well the Steelers were playing for a run, and had we ran the ball, Troy would have probably hit Flacco and/or Rice at the point of handoff and that as well could have resulted in a fumble.

The simple facts of that play was that one player didn't execute well. The Ravens won the chest match because they had the Steelers thinking run and we were passing, the Ravens won with the play design because Dickson was wide open for the 1st down. It was just a combination of a great player in Troy P making a play and Oher's mental lapse. Highsight is 20/20 and it's easy for anyone to say that was the wrong play call at that point. However had Micheal Oher done his job, the Ravens probably put that game away, because that play would have resulted in a first down.

If the Ravens meet the Steelers again in the playoffs and win then we should all send this <clown> some brown paper bags "of shame" to wear over his face.

Its definitely a smart play call, but not in that situation. There is no reason to do anything but run the ball, passing is too risky.

Personally I think the pass was a good idea to throw Pittsburgh off balanced. Lets say that the play worked as Ravensfan23 said. Everyone would be praising Cam. I just think our offense does not execute well when we have a lead. All we have to work on is our blitz pickup and we will be fine. Cam is a good play caller.

Wow, It hurt to lose but we are more than alive. There are alot of other teams that wish that they could be in the position the Ravens are right now.

I agreed with you up until the final statement. A good play-caller doesn't call two fades in a row and then have his right-handed QB roll to the right from an opponent's six-yard line.

What would you say if it worked? Because nobody would every expect two fades in a row from the 6.
