The playoffs start soon and the regular season is done right around the corner.
I hope the steelers lose some games but its very unlikely. I think the jets could lose the playoff hopes they desire. I pick ravens being 5th.
if playoffs ended today dec 7th 2010

Until the NFL restructures how the seeding works, non-division winners have to fall to the 5th and 6th seeds. While I agree that all four (8 league wide) division winners should get a playoff berth, the seeding should be in order of record, etc. So, most likely the Ravens will take the 5th seed, barring a complete collapse by themselves or the Steelers when they really should have the 3rd spot as of today.

Hey, I don't care what their record says; they will bring it against us and I'm sure they feel they could have won the last one.

Why the optimism for a 5th seed when the Jets own it and are a game up on us? We could easily go 2-2 (NO and Cleveland scare me) and there is a chance SD could sneak in. Check out the playoff generator on Yahoo if you have not seen this.

I see another wild-card berth. Not sure if its the 5th or 6th seed though. Depends on how the Jets end there season I guess.

I think 5th seed. Jets got exposed last night, Sanchez cant play in the weather, and their D is not that great.

I am still holding out hope that Pitt might falter, but it looks like we will be heading to Heinz field for the Divisional Round.

I don't know whether or not we can take away the fifth seed from the Jets. I predict they lose to the Steelers, but we would still need to win all four of our last games to take it from them. The Saints are a very good team, and their offense seems to be peaking at just the right time. We could realistically lose that one. I don't see us losing any of the other three, despite the fact that all three are against teams that could be spoilers, it's not in the Ravens's character under John Harbaugh to get spoiled by lesser teams.

We are two games up on the Colts and the Chargers for a wild card spot, and I don't see us losing out on our spot to either of them. Like I said, I see at least three wins in the next four weeks, which would put us out of our range. Honestly, I like matching up on the Chiefs in the playoffs first round, but hate the idea of having to play the Patriots in Foxborough in round two. After what they did to the Jets last night, they are one scary team.

I'll take ya one further: I think all four of our remaining games (Steelers and Ravens) should have that feel to them.

I am only thinking of this from the Ravens standpoint as of now and what could happen if they don't take care of business. Sure the Jets or Steelers could lose out and we jump to a higher seed. I was only making the point we do not control our destiny for more than a 6th seed as of now. 3-1 and we are in. 2-2 and we could need help.

I'd say 5th. I see the Jets losing both away games to Pitt and Chicago. Even if the Ravens drop the Saints game, that would mean we're both 11-5, and the Jets lose the tiebreaker...

I guess the general concensus is that a #5 seed is the best they can do. A matchup with KC may not be a bad start even though it would be at Arrowhead.

I would take that matchup in a heart beat. How much playoff experience is on that team? Can they handle the big stage?

Cassell has held a clipboard in the play-offs. That could count for something.

I will go with number 2 seed. On paper I still like you to stay strong and take the division over the Steelers. Your last game was an "any given Sunday" game. They are not holding up that well and could easily go 2-2. Besides, you guys just took a bad loss so I will lend you some of my homerism.

I still say the Ravens will finish with the #2 seed and the AFC North crown. Call me crazy and i just might be. However for 3 quarters and 12 minutes of that game I was not at all impressed with that Steelers team, especially the offense.

Now don't get me wrong, I give them all the credit they deserve for winning that game, but i feel the Ravens gave it away more then the Steelers just flat out beat us. But enough of that, it's over and done with.

I look at the Steelers play in recent weeks and I see a team that could very well lose to the Bengals and i honestly think they will. They are coming off a very very physical game vs the Ravens and they have some questionable injuries.

Even though the Steelers are home the next 3 weeks, they have just as much chance of losing the next 2 as we do. It doesn't look promising, but something is telling me that the Ravens will finish atop the North and with the #2 seed.

We entered that game with a ton of injuries. Did you guys come back to win it in the 4th quarter back in week 4? This game is a carbon copy of all our games recently: close, physical with one team winning late by 3 or 4.

It's called defensive football.

yup ... I was scratching my head wondering why a few people here were predicting we would win by 10 points. That just doesn't happen anymore between us, regardless of who is in the lineup.

I predicted a 16-10 win for us, I thought it would come down to the usual final minute drive and we would hold onto the lead. Whoops...,,,,

I'm not denying the fact that you guys came back and won it, and i've said since Sunday night that i give the Steelers all the credit for doing so.

I still stand by what i say about the play of the Pittsburgh Steelers over the last 3-4 weeks or so. It's nothing about how you guys have played that makes we say that you next 4 games are a gimme.

I think you guys drop atleast one game before the regular season ends, does that mean i think the Steelers are a bad team no. I actually have you guys in the top 3 of the AFC, and would have to place you at 2 right now simply because u did beat us.

However if you guys go out and drop a hard fought game vs Cincy this week i wouldn't be surprised.
