It's Clear: The Ravens Need A Thorough Thrashing To Get "it"

92 posts in this topic

I know I said I was done with the Ravens the other day - so what I lied. Anyway, seeing all these "It's Clear" threads got me thinking. The one THING that will WAKE THE RAVENS up (without changing staff in season) is a thorough *** whooping. Maybe then, Cam will get his head outta his butt, everybody will stop complaining, and the bleeding will cease.

Who's with me?

Thats the one thing we don't need right now.
We can't afford to get our butts kicked at this point. Cam Cameron will either start calling aggressive, smart plays for the full 60 minutes or he will be kicked when the season ends.

With 4 games left in the season we cant afford to get our *** kicked.
[/quote]

We're probably going to be a wildcard anyway, and I really do have us losing at least 1 out of the 4 remaining games. Screw having that one game close, I say we get our butts handed to us to wake EVERYBODY up. That'll put us on notice that you can't sleep walk one SERIES much less entire quarters.

How is that gonna wake us up? If blowing yet another 4th quarter lead, and against our most-hated nemesis no less, isn't enough to wake us up then nothing will.

This is madness.

It's said you learn more from a loss than a win but after the bitter loss Sunday night and the comments made by Mason, Suggs and Harbaugh afterwards, don't you think there have been some "wake up calls" already?

Unbelievable...

CASE: Before the Cleveland thrashing, NE barely beat playoff caliber teams.
POINT: After the *** whooping, they have taken EVERYBODY to school, and will continue to do so.

This is too funny, I have seen about 5 or 6 "It's Clear" threads since the Steelers loss. I'm glad everyone knows whats up and everything is so clear now since the loss.

It should've been clear after getting nearly embarrassed on Thursday Night Football, so why would I think "wake up calls" have been issued now?

That's awesome. Has getting blown out helped the Seahawks, Bills or Panthers this season?

Your logic is so flawed, it's comical.

Those teams have nothing expected of them. Try again.

First of all, that was earlier in the season when teams can afford to take a whooping. We're not guaranteed a Wild Card spot even though we're in very good position for one so, in other words, we can't afford to drop a game in the hopes of "learning a lesson". Second of all, the Pats have one of the greatest coaches of all-time at their helm. Any time that they lose, regardless of how badly, they almost always bounce back stronger than ever. There's no telling if we would get the same result from taking a beating and like I said, we need to concentrate on winning our remaining games at this point.

Has it occured to you that maybe, just maybe, even though this team understands adjustments need to be made, they won't and in some cases, can't do it?

There are 4 games left in the season and the offense has seemingly regressed. In two games, they've scored 3 points COMBINED in the second half. So how in the hell do you think them getting throttled would help change that?

I get what you're saying but at 11-5 we're pretty much guaranteed a spot. All of the other wildcard teams (save NYJ) have already lost 6 games. I just don't want this team (OC!) sleepwalking through a PO game.

Them getting throttled will change the MINDSET of the FO, the coaching staff, AND the team WILL be out for BLOOD. Period.

"Those teams have nothing expected of them"? That's your response? ROFL

So in other words, you're saying because expectations are low, the coaches and players who aren't guaranteed jobs on those teams aren't trying to make adjustments?

Again, your logic is flawed!!

I understand what you are saying, but not only can we not afford an *** whooping right now, but our players are already going public with their lack of gruntlement (lol) ...

How's THIS - those teams CAN'T do anything about it. They physically and mentally can NOT. We CAN. We've ALL seen it before. Come on now...

How do you know none of that has happened after the team lost by three points against the Steelers after they had been ahead for over 50 minutes?

Oh, wait..YOU DON'T.

Physical and mental limitations don't prevent teams from trying to adjust. There are dearths of talent and coaching ability all over the NFL but people still go out and do their jobs.

But I don't want to stray too far from your ridiculous point.

This team isn't guaranteed t make the play-offs. They need at least three of the remaining four games and taking all four would do wonders for their confidence going into the post-season.

It's just ludicrous to want to see an 8-4 team fighting for a play-off spot get blown out.

So I suppose you'd be okay with us sleepwalking through more quarters of football, limping into the playoffs, and back home in Baltimore before the MLK holiday?
