Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Ahmad Brooks was accused of punching a woman in the face, according to a report in Thursday's Cincinnati Enquirer.

Destiny Rosich of Florence, Kentucky, gave a sworn statement on Wednesday, claiming Brooks punched her in the left eye after she interceded in an argument between the linebacker and one of her neighbours.

Brooks must appear in Boone (Kentucky) District Court on June 6 to answer to the charge of fourth-degree assault, a misdemeanour which is punishable by up to a year in jail.

Marvin Lewis should be fired by now...seriously, with this much lack of discipline, their owner should do something about it.

it could be that there is something that we (the public eye) doesn't see with this whole situation. it could be that they don't want to start over from scratch again and have to build up or it could be that the Owner still has faith in Lewis to bring the team around, OR it could be that... the Team owner sees the effort Lewis is trying to put forth in trying to make the team better all round.... something like that maybe..... who really knows for sure

it appeared as though the bengals were on the path to the golden age, after they had that one good season in which they went (i think) 11-5 not sure on that statistic, and everyone was suddenly saying how the bengals are a team to be reckoned with, and that they'll be a super bowl contender the following season or at some point in the near future and all that.

but then the future rolled around into modern day and they just seemed to go from stardom, to back where they were before. a step backwards (if you will).... it seems as though they do have or HAD the necessary pieces to get to the Super bowl because of the talented players in which they had on the team, but they just seemed to lack dicipline more and more as time went on.

Marvin went from the Heroic Savior of the team/franchise, to the most hated man in Cinci right now because of the teams in-ability to put forth decent, let alone championship quality seasons.
