Are we really this spoiled? This is ridiculous.

Yes we are, and yes it is.

Lots of great thoughts in this thread, its nice to see some optimism after such a heart-breaking loss. There are a lot of positive things that can be taken away even in a loss. Of course adjustments and improvements need to be made as well, but I do have faith in the coaching staff and players to round into playoff shape these last 4 weeks.

And i thought flacco played well. But after the fumble turnover it was sickening to see the broken tackles for the TD.

I'm glad you have faith that will happen; I have my doubts. We've played 3/4 of a season, and not only have we still not worked out the offensive kinks, we actually seem to have regressed.

Once we lost i was just like 'Oh well' Because we always lose to Pitt and its always the same exact way.

This. I've kinda stopped caring about Steeler games because they actually hurt to watch.

I thought the Steeler game would be the breakout game, but after the first offensive series it was obvious that nothing changed but no matter what, I'm not giving up on 'em. I like this team. The offense needs work but overall these guys play their hearts out. Let's not forget how they came back in Atlanta. Once the offense gets over the hump, we will be feared!!.

I should say I am hopeful. There have been flashes of brilliance this season, but the inconsistency has been troubling. I hope getting McClain and hopefully Heap back will be a big boost.

maybe i missed it somewhere, but if its so "painful" then why are you a fan?

blowing out the texans would get this teams morale up after a tough loss.

i will admit it was probably the worst loss of the season to the fans, and it may have been ONE of the biggest games, but its still week 14. we gotta make the playoffs yet. i dont understand why people are giving up? like we just got eliminated from the playoffs or something? as i said, it was a tough loss. but you live and you learn, and now they gotta move on to next week and plan for that. hopefully we make the playoffs, and i think we get the steelers again and hopefully we will come out on top this time. but until then, theres still 4 games that gotta be played.

I was being sarcastic about the pain thing.

I'd never give up on the Ravens. I enjoy watching their games far too much to do that. We can certainly make some noise as a wild card so that should be fun to watch. It just hurts when you lose but you know you were the better team.

Frankly, I would rather lose the way the Jets did than lose the way we did.

There is no point in giving up on your team, but I've seen a lot lower there expectations, and theres nothing wrong with that. Most of the guys on this forum take that the wrong way.

I don't know why people say things like that. You'd think people would rather go 0-16 than lose the Super Bowl.

Ok perhaps not in front of a national audience but the Jets are better than they played last night. Their loss counts the same as ours but at least they don't have to wonder what-if. There is a lot less crying going on on their forums than there are here I'll tell you that much.

we'll see in a few more weeks if they drop a few more games (likely, since they BARELY beat bottom feeders and cannot close good teams).

Honestly, I'm not even bothered about losing Sunday. It's HOW we lost. That was a great, great, great game all the way through, and it was lost on a bad play. Joe plain underthrew Ed Dickson. Joe's still my guy and I love him, but that was painful to watch.
