Not Giving Up On The Ravens

52 posts in this topic

Guys I realize that we lost a close game last night, I was there it sucked. To sit in the stands after knowing you could have won. It came down to alot of things. Poor tackling, bad offensive line play, stupid penalties that could have been avoided and a few bad throws by Flacco.

But I'm not nor will I ever turn my back on my team. I still think we have what it takes to hang with those big name teams. I still think we are playoff caliber.

I hate seeing fans say there done with the ravens for this season, its ridiculous. People saying they want to see Bulger kills me. Have faith guys. The season is far from over.

We are a few plays from being 10-2 right now. Pittsburgh is not a bad team. To lose a hard fought game to them is not so bad. Things will get better. We will still make the Superbowl this year. Mark my words.

In fact, we are a few plays from being undefeated. But, that's just how it goes sometimes, so it's not worth paying attention to. We have led in the 4th quarter of every loss this year. Last night was just heartbreaking.

Whatever we need to do, we need to get better in the 4th Q, the most important Q. If we refuse to learn from mistakes, we are going nowhere but back to the bus going home.

Last night was the overwhelming heartbroken loss. I couldn't sleep last night, just as a fan.....

If the Ravens just blow someone out (like Mason said) by scoring 30+ points on offense, then it would really help fans get over the Steelers loss. With the Texans historically inept secondary, they have a chance to finally test out all their weapons on offense. Style points help over a grueling defeat like Sunday nights.

Just need a good road run. I want to see the Steelers in the divisional game. I predict that the Jets will get the 6 seed, we'll get the 5 seed, and the AFC divisional round will be a rematch of this weekend.

Glad there are still die hard fans out here. We need to rally the love for the Ravnes and stop hating on them. Yeah things got bad last night , but they will get better. I hope flacco comes out strong and torches the Houston D, so are team can get its Moral back!

Who gives up after a 3-point loss in the regular season?

A lot of fans need to calm down. We're still an elite team and believe it or not, our defense is returning to form.

This is just the kind of esprit de corps we need in regard to our team. We can still make things happen, and we shouldn't really worry over a 3-point loss.

Never will... Two great teams last night, and yes it is a bitter pill to swallow to know we came up short. I think Harbs summed it up best in his Monday presser when he said that we have the right men for the job. This club is built to play deep into January. I for one believe, they can beat anyone in this league. We came up short last night, but the season is not done. I wore Ravens stuff today even after the loss because I am proud to call myself a Ravens fan. Been on the bandwagon since it got into town in 1996. Even though I no longer live in "The City That Reeds" i still bleed purple and black.

[font="Century Gothic"] If I didn't have the Ravens, I wouldn't watch the NFL. Period.

They are the reason I started watching.. I'll continue to watch.. and if the players strike next year & the NFL tries replacement players... I'll put my name in the Ravens hat.

I was drunk last night and said to hell with the Ravens. Honestly we are one of the 4 elite teams in the AFC. I dont even know if the Jets are in the Top 4 with the Pats whooping up on them. We have a great team and if we have to fight our way thru the playoffs then so be it. When we had a bye, we went home early, when we entered as a WC, we have won a Super Bowl, made it to the AFCCG and made it to the 2nd Round. We have a group of working class players that would probably like it better to play hard to make it to Texas

Same. Again, why be a fan in the first place if a tough loss is going to make you waver on whether you'll support them?

Wrong. Winning the division might help (making the SB would definitely do it). Anything less will be useless to help me get over it. Why would we care about blowing out the Texans? They are not our biggest rival, attacking us in our own house. Permanent scar. That was the biggest game and the worst loss of the season.

No one said anything about wavering support. Crushing disappointment, black despair and soul numbing depression are not wavering support. Loving the Ravens is just painful.

I came into this season with a different attitude than now. I thought that we would win the Super Bowl, and this waas our year. I thought after this year, it would be too late. This has all changed though. I still think we can get to the Super Bowl, but I see how we can be a lot better next year. We have guys that are getting better: Webb, Suggs, Carr, Flacco. And our rookies should have a lot of improvement. And those rookies and newer guys like Boldin and whoever else we keep around, should be better integrated into our team. So like Ray said, we're the Lakers, cause we're going for multiple championships.

im glad theres at least one positive thread on this forum....all the other threads are calling for peoples heads and about giving up on their team.

ive been a fan since they came here and weve all seen the good and the bad, and this should be the best offense we've had since we've come to baltimore, why its not working i have no clue. but im sure they will figure it out and i hope we go deep in the playoffs, if not the super bowl.

people need to stop blaming this player and that player for a mistake. it was a team effort, and as a team they lost.

I take solace in knowing that nobody is beating the Patriots anyway. I just checked the score and its 24-3 at the half. If the Jets, with that secondary, can't stop New England nobody can.

The same secondary that's ranked something like 15th? They give up 210 yards each game.....they suck!!

maybe i missed it somewhere, but if its so "painful" then why are you a fan?

blowing out the texans would get this teams morale up after a tough loss.

i will admit it was probably the worst loss of the season to the fans, and it may have been ONE of the biggest games, but its still week 14. we gotta make the playoffs yet. i dont understand why people are giving up? like we just got eliminated from the playoffs or something? as i said, it was a tough loss. but you live and you learn, and now they gotta move on to next week and plan for that. hopefully we make the playoffs, and i think we get the steelers again and hopefully we will come out on top this time. but until then, theres still 4 games that gotta be played.

Oh please. Stats can be deceiving. We've been saying it for weeks about our own defense. They have the lowest completion % against and the lowest yards per attempt against in the entire league. Oh and they are giving up a whoping 2.6 more yards per game than us. All that 15th ranking means is teams are throwing on them more.

Well, teams throw on them cause they can.....been saying it since early on. Its all good, Bradys only proving my point literally right now :)

Just recently, McCoy threw for 200+ and Stafford threw for 240+

Im just saying this Jets secondary is NOT" shutdown" like the NFL world thinks.....not even close!

dude, i love the Ravens man! we love the Ravens! we are not hating on them!

we are pissed over all of this b.s. play-calling that we've all witnessed over the past several weeks. i've been saying (along with a few others here)that the Ravens offense is horrible and it shouldn't be that way with all of the talent they have on that side of the ball! i have been saying that Flacco holds the ball waaaay too long, that he can't seem to read the defenses and then audible out to something else, that he gets flustered when teams blitz, and that the offense is just flat out unable to put teams away (by putting up points-TDs and not just FGs) when the defense is playing tuff!

now, after last nights game....these boards are FILLED with cats (including the players; Housh, Mason, Suggs and Coach Harbs) that are FINALLY voicing the truth about our Ravens offense instead of sticking their heads in the "everything is okay" sand! it's about damn time! honesty is a beautiful thing!

This is the Thread I was looking for.
Will the real Ravens Fans please stand up. I work in a building where everyone Claims to be Ravens Fans but hardly watch games..dont keep up with players..current news nothing! Even when we win there is a flood gate of complaints that spills into conversation. No Organization is perfect....that crosses all sports my friends. Win or Lose I stand behind my team because I believe there is a culture that follows the Ravens. Hard working...Fighting everyday people like myself that look up to these guys on the field. When Sunday comes all the BS of the week is not even on the brain simply because I know my Boys are about to do DAMAGE! Someone is getting hit in the MOUTH. I rocked my Boldin jersey pretty much all day because its a pride thing. The loss was a gut check like no other but looking ahead WE cant stop and wont stop what we do...thats not who WE are. Fight til the very end. Blood, Sweat and Tears. My Loyalty Lies with the Ravens..win..lose...draw. Period!

I'm not giving up... as much as I don't like John Cena.... his motto Never Give Up is a good one for fans. Now I know it will be tough to get the North title but with 1 or 2 Steeler losses and we win out, we go right back in Charge of the AFC North Title, and a Bye Week. Heck if we win out and get some major upsets with the Pats losing, we could still get the # 1 Seed(tested it on ESPN Playoff Machine) so we aren't out of the Division Title Hunt or the # 1 Seed Hunt yet...

I'm sorry but i don't see the point of this post or 90% of the posts on this board. It's disgusting. How does a 3 point loss to a playoff caliber team make you question your fanhood? Our team is 8-4 and primed to get in the playoffs. The lions have lost double digit games for years and their fans still support them. Are we really this spoiled? This is ridiculous.
